Agreed but thought he could have closed the first one down faster.

A bit slow to react for the break for the second goal too. Seemed to lose Maddison momentarily

Emi should have dealt with it better.  TM has been great last three games

Martinez should have saved both, no question. But Mings would take a lot of blame as why the first shot got on goal and a bit of blame for losing Maddison for the second. Terrible goals to concede, Elmo all over the place for both too. Barkley not tracking Maddison's runs.from midfield for both goals (watch it back if you really want to fume)....

Nah first one is great placement, I don’t think there’s “no doubt” Emi should have saved it.

Great placement but not much power. Got a hand to it so should have kept it out. Piss poor for the second

I think the first one is a little harsh on Emi to say he should have stopped it. The second, he should have done better by his high standards.

Maddison's goal was great placement.  Cracking goal.  The second was absolutely blasted at Emi with players in front of him.  Tough to hold but Elmo switched off.  We ask keepers to stop the ball going into the net from shots,  He actually saved the shot but was let down by midfielders and a right back who had switched off. Some are being very harsh indeed on Emi.  I'd rather have him in goal for us than any other keeper I've seen in the league this season.

Oh, and Tyrone was much better yesterday as well. Seems to have gone back to basics and it's working.  Such a shame our wafer thin midfield can't help him out a bit more.

The last few games has fully established himself as a top level centre back. Tonight he was just magnificent. A magnet to the ball.

He’s been excellent for so many games, him and Konsa are some force when both on their game.

Thought he had a wobble a few games ago, but recently he has been superb, as has Konsa. Surely this pairing will be playing together for England soon?

No chance. I think Mings will lose out to a starting spot to Stones. Southgate isn’t dropping Maguire. Konsa has a very outside chance of a squad place at best, but if Gomez recovers he gets in. Konsa’s best bet is playing well and getting into Euro qualifying squads.

Yes his decision making has recently gone through the roof and when he plays at this level he's absolutely the real deal.

Noticeable that he doesn't dwell on the ball anymore.Sometimes,it's a bit more agricultural, row Z or long punt upfield, but  defensively Konsa and him are superb.

They are way better than Stones and Maguire. Maybe they won’t be a pairing at the Euro’s, but if they keep playing like this and keep improving, they must have every chance afterwards. Southgates been at enough of our games recently, even he must see they are really very good.

As someone said somewhere else, (I've had a few so excuse me), Mings & Konsa, with Stones would make a fabulous back three & give a whole new option to the England line up. Why I give a toss is beyond me, but then again N.Ireland does not give you much to cheer about.
