Noticeable that he doesn't dwell on the ball anymore.Sometimes,it's a bit more agricultural, row Z or long punt upfield, but  defensively Konsa and him are superb.

Someone has had a word with him clearly. Most of his previous mistakes were of his own making. Mings has been performing strongly for a number of weeks now. Tonight will have been sweet for him up against Bamford who made a mug of him earlier in the season.

Last few games he has looked solid as fuck. No dwelling, twatting the ball out when needs too, distribution decent, winning everything in the air. Superb!

The last few games has fully established himself as a top level centre back. Tonight he was just magnificent. A magnet to the ball.

Yes and led the defence superb tonight, never looked threatened. Eight clean sheets away this season already.

The last few games have seen much less of him trying to be Paulo Maldini and more being a much better centre back.

When there’s danger, he’s just clearing it. Much improved IMO.

He was always a very good defender, but the annoyingly regular slip ups were something he needed to cut out.  Now that he has, he's an absolute rock.

It’s palpable at how Tyrone clears it as opposed to “playing” it.

The opposition can’t score if the balls in row z, it’s a cheese cliche but also a fact.

I know it's been said many times before this season but our back five really could be something very special. If Mings and Martinez stick at this level of both performance and leadership, while Targett, Cash and Konsa continue to develop the way they are... wow... we could get another 8-10 years out of them.

13 clean sheets out of 24 games this season for a team who used to be as desperate at the back as we were at times last season is just unreal.

Well done big Tyrone (and the rest of the defence!).

The criticism earlier in the season was over the top and he's not putting a foot wrong now. An absolute colossus and a proper leader, glad he's ours.

Southgate's watched our last 2 games. The likes of Mings won't be doing themselves any harm with games like that. Defensive partnership of Mings and Stones as first choice with Konsa in the squad perhaps?

Agreed Olof, some of the earlier criticism he had was OTT. Yes he will make errors in the future but we should just look at what he gives us over a season. Also his leadership skills, whilst recognised, are still underestimated IMO
