He's probably found it tough at times this season but who hasn't? He'd be perfect to help try and bring us back up if we go down but I'd be tempted to cash in if we got a good offer.

It would be great for him to stay, but I expect he will want to maintain his England squad place.

Yes I’d imagine so.

I agree with this but I also think that we need to stop this zonal marking crap at corners as it isolated Mings in the middle of the 6-yard box.

Think he’ll go if we go down, but if we could manage to persuade him to stay, him and Konsa could form a really good partnership and understanding that hopefully if we we’re promoted first time, would stand them in good stead for another crack at the prem.

Thought Tyrone was excellent last night. He marshalled really well.

I agree he was good last night, was surprised to read criticism of his his performance. He seemed massively up for it, led, reminded me of his performances in the run in last season.

Yes he was. He didn't seem to move from his spot, he didn't seem to need to. He really was excellent.

Helped by all the other defenders - Konsa was excellent, and Targett defied a lot of the criticism on here. Guilbert got himself into the game and was playing well by the end.
finally, they are looking like a competent back four.

1 little issue aside (where he over ran the ball and waved a heel at it in our box) I thought he played very well, I'm not sure what people expect from him it that wasn't good enough.

Konsa saved a certain goal on that occasion, unforced error from Mings. Mings also lost their young forward for that header that hit the post. On other days that's two goals conceded with no-one but Mings at fault for both. The Danny on commentary (Higginbottom I presume?) was slating him for both. Not good enough and we were very lucky to get away with both yesterday.

Yes he makes the odd mistake, but his overall contribution to the team is positive.

If Jack goes he's the obvious choice for captain next season.

I don't think it's fair to blame him too much for the nketiah one, nketiah feinted to one way and then cut back and got in front of him. If that was our player I'd be saying he created a chance with his movement more than considering it bad defending. In much the same way I don't think the same commentator was fair to blame their defender for not closing trez faster for our goal.

Villa stay up... Bournemouth go down.... what do you think the “overpriced” Tyrone Mings is thinking tonight?

I reckon Eddie Howe is going to offer his resignation too.  They have a few really decent players who I would fancy a look at.  Tyrone could help to do the, er, legal recruitment (tapping up).
