Presumably if he plays, that'll be one of the triggers to give Bournemouth some more cash.

I truly hope that he triggers all of the extra payments this year, because that will mean he's played for England, stayed fit and played lots of games for us and we've finihed in a decent position in the league.

It was rumoured that it was £20m rising to £26m if all the clauses were met. The way he has made the transition to the PL, in today’s market even at £26m we have fucking mugged Bournemouth.
And plenty of "experts" like Danny Murphy reckon we were the ones who got mugged.

Weren't we recently overtaken by Spurs for the most England players overall? This will help us restore our rightful place at the top of the pile.

In fact, here we go.

Most players by club linky

Why does that table only show Villa's record from 1908? And other lesser clubs from earlier years?
England have been playing internationals since 1870. So I don't believe the Villa stats are correct.
The actual list of Villa's England players appears to be complete if you click on the club name because Oliver Vaughton and Arthur Brown, Villa' first two internationals in 1882, are shown.

Great spot sir! Being THE dominant club prior to 1908 that must surely put us ahead of the spuds. Congratulations Tyrone. Stick with us son you'll go a long way.

If you click on the Aston Villa link, it does list all the players, including those before 1908. So the number of plyers would seem to be correct. But can't explain the 1908.

Bit late on this but Ty being called up is wonderful news. I do worry since he's injury prone that it increases the chances of him picking up an injury (or aggravating his groin if that's still a niggle after Friday), but I suppose the chances of him playing many international minutes is slim for the moment.......

........right??

Who knows? Southgate pointed out that one big thing in his favour is that he's a left sided defender. It's a bit of a niche position so you never know.

Had a quick look in that MM forum on the England squad.

Absolutely right! He'll probably be up for the Balloon Door too.

This really made me laugh, the dense doofus.

Being a naturally left sided player is also a massive plus. If it goes well and they stay fit I can see him and Maguire as the first choice England CB’s for years to come.

Some news site said Southgate will probably play him as left back as he is missing some and Mings could play there. Yes, take one of the most consistent Left sided centre backs in 2019 and play him as Left Back.....
