Normal service has been resumed.  Villa make England players like Mr Kipling makes pies. Two in the current squad, soon be three or four.  Well done Tyrone. Heaton to displace Pickford too I hope.

Of the current squad I can see 3-4 more getting call-ups/caps by the next world cup (especially if he uses the friendlies to take a look at a few extra players), Grealish is obvious but from the bits I've seen I think Konsa and Targett will be in the mix in a couple of years. The real outsider is Davis though, if he puts in a few PL performances like the Crewe game I can see Southgate wanting to have a look at him in training. If he adds a few goals I think he'll have a great chance.

Weren't we recently overtaken by Spurs for the most England players overall? This will help us restore our rightful place at the top of the pile.

Tyrone Mings fits Aston Villa like a glove. They go together better than mince pies and Christmas.

Commercial opportunity: "Mings Pies".

I'll take ten of them!
Please, not Christmas! It's only August...

Why does that table only show Villa's record from 1908? And other lesser clubs from earlier years?
England have been playing internationals since 1870. So I don't believe the Villa stats are correct.

Great spot sir! Being THE dominant club prior to 1908 that must surely put us ahead of the spuds. Congratulations Tyrone. Stick with us son you'll go a long way.

Wasn't expecting that, great news, well done Tyrone. Though all England's games, to the end of the year are qualifiers, so barring injuries, he's only likely to get a game, once England have qualified.

Fully deserved. He's been in absolutely immense form since the start of the year.
