As much as I dislike Cascarino and his pathetic punditry and as blasphemous as it is to say, there is of course a chance that Tyrone may struggle to have the impact that he had with us in the Championship in the PL. If you're going to be hyper-hyper critical and look at potential problem areas there were a couple of times where his temperament was arguably questionable (where he got caught up in tussles with opposition players/off the ball/corners etc) there was the sending off at Rotherham and there were occasionally times he seemed to overplay or hang on to the ball too long at the back (which could potentially be concentration levels/or over confidence). The difference in class between world class forwards and the championship is wide and if you switch off for a minute you are likely to be punished as opposed to getting away with it in the Championship. It goes without saying I hope he's brilliant but the whole team is going to be massively tested this coming season.
It also goes without saying that Terry has already had a major impact upon him and will continue to do so
Yeah they are all valid points but mitigated (imo) by the fact that we also need to adjust for the fact that was his first decent run at any level for a long, long time.

A counter to that would be that it's a position where often players will mature late 20's/early 30's and while at 26, he's no kid, there's still time for him to improve and adjust to the Premier League.
From the Mail - Reo-Coker talking about Tyrone. Reo-Coker believes that as good a signing as Tyrone Mings is for Villa, he must prove himself and learn at Premier League level. He stated: "He’s a good player and I played with Tyrone for a little bit at Ipswich. I think it’s a good signing but it’s a different quality level now, and he hasn’t had a proper run at the Premier League yet at Bournemouth."It’s a different level now and it’s a lot more about using your brain and seeing danger before it happens. It’s not as physical or physically demanding as The Championship, so I think that he will have to take his game to another level."
