I know the comms are saying par is around 450 odd so we're doing well here but I still have so little faith that we're going to do any better with the bat. They've completely ruined my confidence.

They probably mean par for Australia on this pitch would be 450. That would probably be enough for them to win by an innings.

Oh for a proper spin bowler in this England side. Afraid Jacks is not the answer, although as Jim Maxwell said, he can bat a bit.
