Needed that wicket and could do with another before the close.

Really quite poor in the field by England today. It could cost them but we now have another wicket. 70 for 2.

Right call not to bowl spinners. We are going to have to come out and be right on it tomorrow or it’ll slip away fast. I think it’ll flatten out, it normally does at the Oval, but I wouldn’t want to chase more than 250.

I do find the handling of Bethell odd this summer. He clearly wasn’t likely to play any of the games, until the injury came up. He’s a young player and I feel like across this time he should have been playing some cricket.

I will say the best thing from an England perspective about this game, it’s proven and underlined that Gus Atkinson has it.

England shit again in the field. We are going to get smashed 5-0 in Australia.

It’s not been a glowing endorsement of Pope as a captain, the team’s heads have massively dropped.

Maybe not quite so, based on this morning's performance.

I dunno, coming back from injury he did his job. Getting him out bowling again without any rest gives him no hope.

England should pipe down, you haven’t played well enough to get salty. How about come back out and take some wickets.

The bowling cupboard looks pretty bare. Of course it would always be a drop off after alltime greats Anderson and Broad retired, but it seems a load of dibbly, dobbly and wobbly plus quicks who are permanently injured.

For Australia we need Wood back, and Archer fit. I have no idea who else to bring tbh.
