That from Pope completely sums up an utterly shambolic performance with bat, ball and in the field this test (besides Brook and Smith of course).

It's ridiculous that despite having a huge bank of runs India are worried about reducing England's ability to get them rather belief that if they have enough time they can bowl out England.

They know that England don't have the willpower to fight for a draw in fairness. They are confident that England will just throw wickets away. Its probably fair enough in that sense.

I do agree it ls ludicrous they are still batting though.

Is this the worst bowling attack England have fielded ever? Its certainly the worst I can remember since watching them from around the mid nineties

What the fuck are they still batting for? This is incredibly cowardly.

Its the type of pitch where if a team put their mind to it, it would be incredibly difficult to bowl them out in just over 3 sessions. England unfortunately I cannot see them putting their mind to it

I will laugh if it ends up a draw with England eight or nine down and still three hundred runs adrift of the target and the India captain would deserve all the abuse coming his way if that's what happens.

Need to see off new ball, approximately 25 overs,  with no more than two down.

If England somehow got to Lords 1-0 up with how poor the bowling has been and how generally outplayed they have been by India, it would be absolutely ridiculous 😂

Anyone who thought England would actually dig in and fight was deluding themselves somewhat

Zak Crawley's wicket was the seventh duck of the match for England and that ties their all-time record.

India know that England batsmen just cannot leave the ball regularly. They don't need to attack the stumps
