Well that's not a good start for England, two wickets in two balls .

Yikes that’s twice we lost two in two this innings. It’s a bit of a shocker of a performance on this pitch.

Yep, just poor batting on a pitch that really isn't doing very much.

Its poor batting but it's definitely not helped by scoreboard pressure. We put India in on an absolute road and they racked up nearly 600 with relative ease. Their bowlers now have energy and no pressure on them whilst our batters only have to look up at the scoreboard to see how far they are behind in the game.

Granted they should be doing better than they are. Is Stokes perhaps batting too high considering his form over the last few years?

Well, England still miles behind and will barring a miracle still go on to lose but what a counter attack from Brook and in particular Smith.

Surpised India didn't continue the short stuff for a bit longer. They were so far ahead in the game that they could afford to give away boundaries and inevitably Smith would have mistimed one at some point.

If they can get within 100 of their 1st innings I reckon they'll fancy going on to win.

Thats a long way away though. As likely to capitulate after lunch and be all out for 280 this England team 😂

Lunch come at a good time for India. Gill lost the plot a bit in the field

One of the finest sessions of Test match cricket I have seen at Edgbaston  …anywhere… for a while. Smith is some talent.

Remarkable stuff from Brook and Smith.  Still a long way behind though with a long time left in the game.

That was a very sensible session from Brook and Smith. India bowled a defensive line and they didn't fall for the trap.
