Flat or not pressure is on now. It’ll be interesting.

Another reason why we should have batted first. It would be them under the pressure now

Doesn’t look so flat at the moment.

I hope Pope is starting one of his runs on single figure scores.

I'd guess its a typo and its meant to be "not starting"

It's swinging all over the place, apparently!

Pitch still seems dead - just bad shots more than anything else.

It was a poor decision to bowl first - nearly as bad as last week - but India (Gil) played it better

Scoreboard pressure more than anything. It should have been India batting under pressure this evening.

That being said, our bowling attack is rather pathetic. Tongue and Bashir are nowhere near international quality, Carse weirdly looks ordinary in this country and Woakes whilst a skillful bowler does not offer much in these types of conditions once he gets through his new ball spell.

Several changes needed for the Lords test with the sides level

I don’t know about Tongue there’s definitely something there.

Well maybe, but he’s also a strike bowler who ripped through the tail in the last game and got a set Jadeja with a great short ball today. He’ll have bad days, but he’s very inexperienced at this level. He’s very much worth persevering with.

They use Dukes in test matches in England.

Kookaburras are being used for a few games in the County Championship but not test matches.

I dread to think how bad this would be if they were using a kookaburra

I could've sworn one of the commentators in the first test said they were using kookaburras, might have only half heard and it was a conversation about a county match. Either way, really poor batting from our top 3 has given a false impression that this pitch is anything but a road.
