Clearly a horrendous decision to bowl, thats a given.

However, theres been a real lack of consistency in line and length

The sad truth is is our bowling attack would still be better with Broad and Anderson still playing at 38 and 42

and 2, that kid looked terrified. Great work from Smith to take a tough catch.

England have bowled poorly even with the decision at the toss being a moronic one.

In Bumrah India have a better bowler than what England can muster, England need wickets before the game runs away from them.

Some very average bowling today from England, particularly Tongue who has been rubbish. Fair play to the Indian batters for taking full advantage.

Feel like these bowlers will go for about a million in Australia.

I'm sorry to say that Chris Woakes, although a fellow Villan, reminds me of watching Brian Statham come to the end of his best days against West Indies in 1963. At Manchester.
Just hoping he can prove me wrong.

Tongue has plenty about him, but I don’t think he’s been in great form. Then you’ve got Woakes and Carse coming off injuries.

This is the real problem, most of the bowlers we have that are good enough to consider are injured or just barely back. There's no one obvious to come in and replace any of these 3 and there's a strong chance that Carse and Woakes will get better through the series. Atkinson or Archer in for Tongue may happen though.
