However Jamie Smith is much much better than Pope. Pope is an adequate player nothing more. Second rate wicket keeper and his batting will struggle against Aussie pace.

Perhaps not if Pope is at six.

Having said that, I prefer Smith and think he best fits the Bazball model.

Looks like the standard nightmare performance in the last game of a series.

Not the same batting application by England, may be because the series is already won?

Crawley unlucky in my view -not clear it was a clean catch, hence no big celebration by the bowler.

Is it still raining?

India 6-2 in response to the Aussie's 445. Both taken by Mitchell Marsh, the second a salmon-like leap to his left in the gully.

FFS that looks like it’s Stokes’ hamstring gone again.

There’s going to be an interesting situation that faces England at some point with Bashir. Through no fault of his own he’s learning on the job in international cricket. He’s very inexperienced and he has loads of talent, but he really struggles to bring any control. When you get to next summer and the subsequent winter England can’t really have that. Hopefully he’ll work it out but it’s a tough place to learn.

Williamson , another hundred, what a player. You can see Ravindra is class too.

Is Bashir going to develop enough in time to be the spin option in Australia? Highly doubtful.

A real shame Bethel threw away a century trying to twat Southee's first ball out of the ground.

Still, Bazball we must...

Game was gone, anyway. I don't think we will get many Bears games out of Bethell next year.

Bethell was the big winner of the series, he looks like he could be the 3 for England for a very long time. It would've been nice to see him come in after 20-25 overs at some point but Crawley made sure that wasn't an option.

and Duckett, too.

Bethell looks made for that number three slot. For me, it's just a question of who takes the gloves in the summer.
