I do tend to listen to a lot of podcasts when I'm home I like listening to the Claret and Blue, The Holy Trinity and For the Love of Paul McGrath and The Villa View.

I listen to all of those Darren, but this one has become my favourite.  It's quite light hearted though and I woould warn you they swear quite a lot!

I’ve utterly lost track there are so many now and I’ve just given up.

The Villa Podcast - 2 Irish lads very funny and probably the best Villa Podcast at the moment
My Old Man Said - A decent podacst, presenters a bit up their own backside and not as funny as theY think they are
The Holy Trinity - only available on Youtube entertaining and insightful analysis from an American fan
The Villa View - Dan Bardell's channel, still pretty good but not what it was.
1874 - Dan's side project with Gregg Evans.  An Athletic podcast.  Decent but Gregg isn't as knowledgable as he should be
For the Love of Paul McGrath - two Irish guys (different to the one above) - a decent podcast, enthusiastic presenters who come accross well.
Claret and Blue - essentially the Birmingham Mail's podcast - awful, innane, unfunny wittering with no substance.  The worst Pod out there.

There's some others, but not really worth mentioning.

If you're only going to listen to one, then for me it would be The Villa Podcast, mentioned above for the entertainment value.

Thank you I may give one of them a go. As long as no one tries to do an AVFCFanTV like those embarrassing arseholes at Arsenal we’ll be good.

As I am working from home - listening to The Villa Podcast about our NON performance at Watford - it is making me laugh - the 2 guys are very good and funny

I've been listening to this podcast for the last few weeks following Sid's recommendation on a post match thread.  It is now my favourite Villa pod by some distance.  The lads are funny, entertaining and have decent football knowledge.  When they get going their rants are something to behold - this week they lay into Solskjaer.  It's a very diferent style to most the turgid podcasts out there and is well worth a listen if you're into this sort of stuff.

Thanks for the recommendation- I’ll try this out.

Thanks for the recommendation, although I can’t remember which recent thread it was on, listened to a few today and yes, very funny and insightful. One of them was incredibly harsh on Kamara but I guess patience doesn’t make for a good show.

Good stuff.

Gave the Villa podcast ago on a train journey yesterday on a recommendation from another thread. Two Norn Iron(?)/Ulster(?) lads - very funny insight.

One of the guys in particular is so sharp in his analysis and players' various failings. Basically like listening to two Villa fans in a pub except they have knowledge and football brainz to go along with the profanity and bantzz.

Villa View is still my favourite - Bardell’s a good egg, but I did slightly prefer that DIY feel they had when they were squashed in that small room together. Still, that’s the post covid world. Also, Paddy on For the Love of Paul McGrath is hysterical.

I was interested to hear a couple of  journalists that I wasn’t aware of before self-identifying as Villa supporters on general football podcasts. Joey D'Urso was featured on the Totally Football podcast, and Jonathan Johnson was featured on Football Ramble: On the Continent.

I enjoy listening to Simon from the Villa On Tour podcast talking about Villa. I think he speaks really well, and comes across as fundamentally reasonable. He combines a quintessential Brummie down-to-earth manner, with sharp insight.

Different class to all the others.

I still enjoy the others though. They - and MobTube - get me through the long nights at work.

Ive been listening to the Villa podcast for well over a year now and its brilliant, my regular Monday fix to brighten up the start of the week. Funny and insightful and mad in equal measure.

As a comparator i bow and again listen to claret and blue for something to do on a long drive to work, its bloody dreary in comparison.

They're not really aiming to do the same thing though. One is a (very good) DIY effort, the other is representing the imbeciles at Reach plc. I quite like Kendrick's terrible patter too.
