Lift the trophy in a couple of weeks and his Villa legend status is confirmed, a Holte End deity.

I think he undoubtedly already is. This is his best season ever, lifting the trophy enhances the legend further.

Welcome to the finest football club that you will ever play for, AVFC.

One of my favourite Villa players ever Des Bremner joined us from Hibs and if you’re anywhere as good as him then I for one will be happy.

I posted this on the day he signed, just look at page one of this thread. He’s our most influential player for many, many years.

For influential moments I’d say mcginn is up there - he’s captained us to more than we’ve achieved in decades - and turns up - one of the most influential signings in the last 20 years- and a bargain!

I understand this. I just want him to put it beyond ant doubt and get us over the line. Break that trophy drought.

Once we've done that, we're gonna fly imo.

Financially we will be in much better shape next season won't we? The reputation and standing of the club is growing each year.

We're getting there.

May 20th will be the first of many for Unai era Villa.

Over the years I’ve really only had 2 Villa heroes, Brian Little and Paul McGrath, but SJM is about to overtake both. Class in every way.

Thanks Steve. Your managerial reign with us was mostly forgettable but you signed one of the best midfielders in our history for next to nothing.

And thanks to Steven. Seem to remember that we all thought it was nuts the whole "changing captain" thing.

But that's gone pretty well too.

It almost didn't though and was only good as it led to the Stevie G downfall and Emery joining us. It was only after the world and working with Emery that he started to improve as a player and a leader.

I don’t care about the best Scot to play in the Premier League, he’s probably the best Scot to play for the Villa and there’s some stiff competition from Cropley, Evans, McNaught and Bremner. Lift the trophy in a couple of weeks and his Villa legend status is confirmed, a Holte End deity.
