Being a man possessed is what caused today's infraction.

I think it was probably Italy beating Scotland yesterday that did him in.

He was trying to do a technical foul, but his frustration spilled over.

It's all very well playing with your heart and emotion, but there is a downside. That's why I always use to say keep him away from our final third.

Why did we sell Donk given the state of the squad?

Agree. Then came Kamara's ACL injury shortly after and now McGinn's 3 game suspension leaves the midfield looking threadbare. I think Diego Carlos can play as a DM? - this might be necessary to add some physicality to the midfield. Thoughts?

Chambers played defensive midfielder for Fulham.

It was a yellow and a talking to, anywhere else on the pitch, it is a yellow. Right in front of the Spurs bench - gets him the red.

I would have been pissed too with the lack of urgency some of our lot were showing.

Looking back today, it’s nowhere near as bad as I thought it was at the time.

We were very careless after halftime though. We came out far too sluggish and Spurs obviously responded to their half time talk quicker than us.

He wasn’t good enough. He can’t get in the team over there in that shit league.

Worst thing is, we all knew we would be shit for 5 minutes after half time. Said to my lad at the ground, first 5 second half are vital as we have been sloppy after half time so often.

He is no world beater, but he played a good chunk of the winning run which got us into Europe last season, covering for Kamara. He played in our two best performances last season (Brentford home, Newcastle home).

Most importantly, he is an experienced international who knows how to play in a critical position for which we have no cover. If we had sold him in January, it would have made more sense. But loaning him out looked daft at the time and so it has proved.

Dendoncker is not the answer.

Dendoncker is not the answer.

I am not sure what this even means. I am not saying he would be our first choice as we look to improve, but he would have been a better option that shifting to a back five that the team are unfamiliar with, negating McGinn's attacking threat and now throwing an untried kid into the starting XI, possibly alongside the changed formation if Ramsey remains out.

The evidence is there, his presence in Kamara's absence last season was not detrimental to the side. We left to squad too light in midfield, so much so that two injuries meant five at the back.

Agree with OB. The Donk wasn't the greatest or most mobile player, but he could pass and was a physical presence. He'd absolutely be starting the next three games while McGinn is out.

He's certainly a much more sensible option currently than Tim would be - and before anyone weighs in, I am not writing Tim off, I am happy to see him get game time, but I'd much rather it wasn't under these circumstances, at this point in the season, with where things are poised.

Dendoncker is not the answer.
Not having a central midfield isn’t either.
Hopefully he saw Tim as a better option.
