Dendoncker is not the answer.
Not having a central midfield isn’t either.
Hopefully he saw Tim as a better option.

If he does, he needs to play him in the system that's got us to where we are. There's no point throwing a kid into a system that the experienced players haven't got a clue how to play either.

We will now see if Tim has a future with us in the Premier League.

Agree with OB. The Donk wasn't the greatest or most mobile player, but he could pass and was a physical presence. He'd absolutely be starting the next three games while McGinn is out.

He's certainly a much more sensible option currently than Tim would be - and before anyone weighs in, I am not writing Tim off, I am happy to see him get game time, but I'd much rather it wasn't under these circumstances, at this point in the season, with where things are poised.

Yes I’ll be honest I haven’t seen much of Tim but I had assumed they saw him as more advanced in his development since they’ve left him exposed. McGinn has really badly let us down. Yesterday was horrible, but had we just lost 2-0 without a sending off we could have moved on fairly quickly. Now McGinn has left us with a major problem for 3 games, and if we don’t get a good points return in two of those (the Citeh game is a bit of a no hoper) it could be fatal for our top 4 hopes.

Fair or not Tim is going to have to step up.

Having watched it again, you see Udogie carries on then falls over, so for me, McGinns red card rescinded and a yellow to Udogie for simulation.

It would be funny...  At least one of their players should've been booked for the reaction.  Brennan Johnson for one.  But of course they weren't.

It was a red but i agree he should ahve been booked for that. We never get pens or spurs rarely gets reds against us. I bet if a spurs player did that to one of ours he would have got a yellow

If that had happened on the other side of the pitch away from their dugout then in all probability it would have been a yellow card at most.

At the time it looked like a minimum booking to me, and when red was waved I wasn't surprised.

Their reaction, including the play acting of the victim didn't help at all. Having seen the replay since, I'd have said yellow was fairer, and if it had been on the other side of the pitch a yellow would have been given, with no intervention from VAR.

It was the sheer speed / force of the challenge that was the problem.  It was cynical, reckless and he endangered the player.  I'd have wanted a red if it was against us.  A bit less force and clearly just a yellow, but I can see why the ref gave it.

The reaction of the Spurs players and bench didn't help, but that's par for the course now.

I hope the players do that thing they do at rough schools, where they make a tunnel, force him to walk through it, then give him a good kicking. Konsa too. Then Emery.

if they did that after yesterday's game there would be no one to form the tunnel

Ah, that's a good point actually. Maybe it could be a continually moving one, where the players at the front run round to the back for their (fully deserved) turn?

A human centipede of arse kicking would've been appropriate yesterday.

When I saw it from the Holte end yesterday, I thought it might be a red. Having seen it today it's clear the ref - like the one last Thursday - reacts to the outcome rather than the incident. He responds to the Udogie roll and the reaction of the Spuds' bench not to the fact that McGinn took the player out but with his thighs not his feet; he stayed on his feet throughout it, and it wasn't in any way endangering Udogie.
Poor refereeing and no apparent input from the lino.

Not McGinn related but someone mentioned Brennan Johnson who's a right goofy ****** and fits in well at that twat of a club.
