Fulham were a big side, and floaty corners would have allowed them time to cover, I think a pacier version gave us more chance. Anyway, McGinn is doing just fine thank you very much.

I thought they were a particularly small side other than a couple of defenders.

That centre half was huge, I think that's what I meant.

We couldn't tell if they were a small side lining up at kick off or if it was just that their defender was a giant. He looked taller than Mings anyway.

He had pretty good control too to be fair.

Yes he was, was but normally we look like a small group alongside opponents but it was the other way round last night.

Tosin? Another one from the Man City youth production line. Played a few cup games for them as a teenager, but then had a few loans and ended up at Fulham.  Still only 25, but been around for a while now.

His passing wasn't too clever -he put it out twice without being under real pressure.

MOTM for me, was all over the pitch. Got stuck in, wasn’t overly aggressive and played some lovely passes.

He is so canny as a player. I thought he used to deploy his arse-out and head-down running style to mask his technical deficiencies and gain a physical advantage but he is flourishing these last few months. Almost always plays the right pass and his off the ball work is second to none. Very proud to have him as our captain.

Fantastic today. Playing like the championship McGinn in the PL.

When the babby had his name on his shirt at the start of the season I had to bite my lip - was going to say ‘he’s not gonna have a good season and I don’t think he’ll play much’. Marvellous under Unai’s tutelage.

He's now dominating midfields in the manner he was in the championship run in.

Anyone got some Haggis humble Pie I can munch on?

Indeed Percy. I can't remember him producing a performance as good as that. He's come on in leaps and bounds under Emery.

He has taken his game to another level. He has taken being captain to heart. You can see it in his fitness too. Lean and just looks very in tune with the role asked of him and his responsibilities.
