Worryingly, even with Digne fit, Young is in the side for me either in midfield or out wide. His leadership skills are going to be vital this season.

I liked Danks when I watched some YouTube vids when he was appointed. He has good coaching pedigree and a positive approach.

There was a lot of passing and move drills which means McGinn dropping out isn't a surprise to me. Plus he's got nothing to lose himself in the selection he puts out there.

I like McGinn but he's woefully out of form (I'm not interested in whether anyone thinks he's shit) and isn't performing at the levels he can reach. A spell out will do him good, I hope he trains like a beast and puts himself in contention again.

Could we be about to see the Renaissance of a certain Morgan Sanson?

Bloody hope so.

Sanson & Nakamba can’t do any worse than the shit show served up lately.

I'm a McGinn fan. He's not shit or fat (however many times people say he is) but he definatley needs taking out the side for a few games as he's not been at it for a while .  It'll do us and him good.

I'm glad he's out of the team, he's shit and fat.

Some of the personal abuse aimed at him over the last few weeks has been uncalled for and out of order. He can do a job for us for the rest of the season but he is not a ball player and has to be used correctly. He clearly doesn’t like being captain but he does care and the weight of what’s been going on is clearly having a huge affect upon him.

Agree. Some people have short memories. He hasn't had a good 2022 *except for the Man U cup game where he was exceptional) but what professional footballer doesn't hit a sticky patch at some point in their career. The mistake was Gerrard not taking him out of the firing line when it started.

I also hope that Mcginn is dropped, however I would certainly be very worried if our interim manager is revealing our line up 24 hours before we kick off.

He needs a few games out and the arm band taken off him. If he can’t handle that then move him on.

I somehow doubt it was Dansk revealing it, he would have needed to have the conversation with McGinn though 24 hours out, and I would imagine that is where the leak has emerged from.

I've not seen any suggestion of him not handling it. Why wouldn't he?

McGinn was in a pub in the city centre today. I'm not sure if he was drinking or not but he was definitely in the pub.

That's nothing. I saw Douglas Luiz trying to fix a car.

I dont understand the point in creating possible scenarios for a player who hasn't given us a minute of trouble. Players get dropped all the time. He's hardly going to do a Ronaldo.
