If that’s true it would be doing the new manager a big favour.

Dropped for tomorrow apparently

Also from that article in the Torygraph by Matt Law:

Danks has also left out Jacob Ramsey, the midfielder, from the side that lost at Craven Cottage on Thursday evening.

You could drop quite a few in that case

Could we be about to see the Renaissance of a certain Morgan Sanson?

The bit I’m a bit bothered about is how this got out. Not the decision itself

Telling that it was Ashley Young in Oliver’s ear over the sending off on Thursday and not our captain.

First thing the new manager should do is as tactfully as possible change the captain.

I’m worried why Ramsey has been dropped, unless he’s resting him as he’s probably played every match hasn’t he? At his age that’s a lot of competitive games.

I’m also surprised how this has been leaked. Seems odd and not very professional at all.

If McGinn wants to prove himself as a leader, he should take the armband and stick it on Mings' arm himself. It's the only way all this nonsense ends well with all noses in joint.

And I love McGinn. Still. He needs some time out the side to get his head straight though. No shame in it.

True. Not good.

My first thought, too.

Leaked by a player? I hope not.

The Torygraph seem to have the inside line at Villa Park these days....

McGinn was in a pub in the city centre today. I'm not sure if he was drinking or not but he was definitely in the pub.

First thing the new manager should do is as tactfully as possible change the captain.

Providing he is capable of playing regularly, Ashley Young should be given the armband until the uncertainty at the club is resolved.  Our most experienced player and you can see he is a leader on the pitch.
