Yeah, you're right, there are no other factors at play here, everyone we have is just shit.

There's always someone who's shit, either the players or the manager. No need for excuses, or reasons, we're Aston Villa, we should be the best and if not, we're just shit.

Especially Steven Fucking Gerrard eh, before he'd even walked through the door!

You cling on to the one negative view I've had.. I didn't want him, no, but have I been derogatory about him since? Do I keep going on about how shit he is if we have a poor performance? No, he deserves a chance and he won't get everything right.

McGinn is a bloody brilliant player who is being played out of his best position. That doesn't make him shit, worth selling etc.

You know what it's like on here, say something once and it's sticks. I mean, I go in a caravan for a week.....

Thoughts and prayers for it tomorrow, bub. Otherwise you'll be holidaying in Wem in future.

McGinn has looked much more like himself since the tweak to the formation. He's getting stuck in all over the pitch and was very unlucky not to score last night.

It's made me more confident that he will be an important player for us as we attempt to step up a level - we just need to let him charge around the pitch rather than tethering him to the full-back spots. Having McGinn, Ramsey, Sanson, Doug, Marvellous and a new starting DM would be a great midfield going into next season. 2 great options for each position.

I've had a theory about McGinn for a few months now. When he plays well, we play well as a team. You can usually tell what kind of game were going to have after around 15 minutes based on how SJM is playing.

I think the improvement in him and Luiz in the last 2-3 games shows that the shape was a big part of the problem. Frustratingly Ramsey seems to have lost a bit of form at the same time but I think that's just tiredness rather than him not fitting in this formation.

How does this guy get the plaudits he does for Scotland and look so out of sorts with us?!
Quote from: bbc website after the game with Austria
In midfield, John McGinn capped another all-action performance with a top-class goal, thundering a first-time strike high into the net from Kieran Tierney's delivery to double the lead.
McGinn's Scotland tally now stands at an impressive 12 goals in 14 games and his importance as the dynamic fulcrum of this team cannot be overstated.
"He has developed and become the most complete Scotland player in a long time," said former striker Billy Dodds.
"He doesn't lose the ball, gets about the pitch, is so strong and a driving force. He's also added goals to his game. A phenomenal player. He's my first name on the team sheet."

He's facing lower quality players.

His arse works better internationally.

And what's the craic with his four-eyed goal celebration?

The worst things to see at football matches (no particular order, they're all revolting).

- four eye goal celebrations (as per SJM, although more acceptable in his case for obvious reasons)
- the making of the shape of a heart with the hands
- signs of the 'GREALISH CAN I HAVE YOUR SHIRT' type
- Bebeto style baby rocking celebrations
- That Chelsea celebration from about 25 years ago where they all arranged themselves like a group photo
- Goal music
- Anything involving ball boys waving flags after goals
- Players who are not 1. Brazilian and 2. World class having anything but their surname on the back of their shirt
- Jorginho hoppy skippy dummy style penalties
- Mike Dean

I absolutely hate the four eyed goal celebration.

If it happened every match we played, I could learn to like it.

I think you've about covered the main gripes.

I think If I was a player, I would take my shirt off and hand it to the person next to one holding the sign...is that mean?
