He was terrible against PNE. His worst game so far.
Can’t think of anyone who didn’t look awful second half including Grealish.

I thought the Bristol city one was his worst largely not apparent

And still forced a goal, so he’s not doing too bad.

Like many of the others, I thought he had a good first half, but was pretty anonymous in the second.  Think he would benefit from playing a bit further forward than he has been recently, as he pretty anonymous against Bristol City at times as well.

It’s all a system of the “shape” of the team. We get a proper manager in and he’ll be great.

Exactly. I'm just thankful for his effort all over the pitch when others around him consider trotting about as "putting in a shift".

Oh yeah, and he scored a world class goal.

The second half was so bad against Preston that I struggle to discriminate between our better and worse performers

He could do with a break maybe?

We cant just ask good players to play bloody mumbo jumbo though - that is exactly what happened 2nd half of PNE. When we were crying out for shape and control of the game the clear direction from management didnt come.

It's funny how history repeats itself.  An absolutely dismal second half against Preston did for our last two managers.

Not just that. But both sacked on the same date, October 3rd two years apart. That’s bizarre.

And neither should have been employed.

Being asked to play on the left of a 4 did for him 2nd half. Bjarnason should have gone there. They were having a field day against McGinn and Hutton as the former had no clue how to play the position.

Yes happy birthday John, you have a manager who has a clue what he’s doing now so hopefully we’ll see the best of you.

His goal and the Reach one are hard to separate to be honest.
