I am constantly touching parts of my face.

Namely the inside of my nose with my preferred picking finger.

Well from that information I can glean that you think Robin Olsen is shit

Utter, utter horseshit
How so. Rubbing nose is a gesture that indicates deception.
I ask anyone to look it up.
And also anyone to watch clearly what occurs when Tom Ross asks a question on 12 mins. Then make up your minds now you know what a gesture called pinocchio effect is.

I take it you watched with the sound off as like me I struggle to understand what Emery is saying, even with what I believe is a more than decent trained ear, I prefer to use the subtitles. If you had seen the interview you would have heard him wax lyrical about SJM and how since the first day he's been fantastic, hard working, takes on instruction and is now reaching such high levels Emery feels confident he can move SJM around if necessary. That's an unlimited sign of trust.

So yeah, LeeB's call is spot on (for once). Must try harder.

Another classic is 'woman fiddling with her hair is into you'. Sometimes, maybe! But hardly always.

As espoused by former Brummie, Mike Skinner, in his "imperial phase".

"I saw this thing on ITV the other week
It said, that if she plays with her hair she's probably keen
She's playing with her hair regularly
So I reckon I could well be in"

I've just watched the press conference, and the only thing Emery did when talking about McGinn was to rub the side of his head with his fingers. Which is something he does almost the entire time he's speaking in English, so if he was lying about his true feelings about McGinn, then he's lied about every single thing he's ever said since he came through the door. I don't think Emery's a liar, personally.

Look he touched his nose immediately after Tom Ross question on how's it been with John McGinn.

FV, it's worth learning all of these 'x means y' body language ideas are baseless pseudoscience.
Well, I always listen and usually do what other posters request or say when all are considered. And you're one of sound reason, Monty.
I personally believed it to be rather accurate. However, wjen others cast some things in a different light despite some of my training in observation, I'm willing to close the case on this one as after all Unai Emery and the players of Aston Villa, don't need to have further investigation or scrutiny.

Apologies. Back to the subject of football.

Up The Villa!

Footy, you keep saying that you're trained, I'm interested to know what in?

There's a few of them, so it could be a variety of things.

I watched Emery's pre-match press conference last night and he was asked whether there was any banter between him and McGinn (over the result). The question seemed to totally go over Emery's head as he went on to say how pleased he is with McGinn, what a good player he is, how he always has a smile on his face in training etc. The journalist had to re-phrase the question, by which point Emery just seemed to brush it away. Get the feeling he doesn't really give a shit that Scotland beat Spain.

As a Basque it may be that Unai genuinely doesn't care a toss for Spain, or indeed anyone a bit Spainy like the 'Spainish'

In regards to Tom Ross question in 12 minute of the presser.
When Emery responded with a clear and obvious nose touch and then declared "I like him," I believe I saw a sign that was very intriguing and obvious to my trained eye.

I'm well versed in seeing things but for those who aren't familiar the gesture made is called the pinocchio effect.

I have more to say about Emery's hand gestures at the Villa news briefing on Unai Emery thread, including another clear and obvious sign to the trained eye. I also advise people to interpret between the lines of Emery's communication regarding his preference for mature players. That reveals a lot about some of the squads behavior.

You really do spout some absolute bollocks.

Apparently, a former USA president was also doing such with his hand to nose.

Anyway it was just an observation. If people don't want to pick up on those things then thats their preogrative.

Yes it is and I’ll not bother thanks.
