To be honest I thought he found the pace of the game a bit much today. Lowest number of touches by an outfield player apparently (source some stats guru on twatter). Was thinking maybe the Donk should have been coming on and move Luiz over. But he was brilliant in winning the peno and got the assist for the second.

It was a bit frenetic at points and McGinn was in an advanced position where he would see less of the ball. But when he got it, he didn’t waste it. He did well in his off the ball work and obviously played his part in the goals.

He found lots of space and changed the direction of attacking moves on a few occasions. He looked good.

Agreed, also thought he managed to offer Cash a bit more protection in the second half meaning it reduced their main  attacking option.

Ramsey appeared, from highlights, to be more like his old self yesterday ...

McGinn and Mings were the stand out players for me yesterday.

Regarding McGinn my observations tell me he's getting better in the second half of matches. That is mow 2 matches in a row he's shown up and finished strongly.

My theory tells me this is because he takes some time to grasp the strategy before settling and playing football rather than his own way of playing that he's been use to for so many years.
He's almost back to being as good as Super John McGinn if he can put on a 90-minute show. He's definitely needs to work on his decisions and composure in the box and he can actually score.

Well done McGinn he's wanting to take things on board and he'll only improve by doing so.

Maybe, but it's more likely that it's due to the copious amounts of Guinness he had in Dublin.

He is better when able to run at the opposition through the middle .  Technically think he struggles in tight areas with passes

I thought he was disappointing, a few runs but failed to pick out passes to players in good positions.
Should have been subbed earlier.
