What’s wrong with it? The top clubs have been doing it for years.

Are you answering your own question there?

Yes.

If you don’t mind this sort of thing, just imagine it’s Villa as the minor “partner”.

It's got to be better than sending players to Reading in League 1 and they're not getting a game.

Not really. I’m suggesting to compete at the top we need to play the same game wherever the rules allow

What, we tread the same path as the dinosaurs? That's not disruptor talk, dude. Now, if you'll excuse me I need to pray and ingest horse semen before I rawdog a breakfast with my kid.

Multi-club ownership is bollocks.

Yeah so my view is I don’t like it, I think it’s shit. I also understand it’s probably needed to compete.

Yep. It’s within the rules. I didn’t say I liked it. My position is purely that we need to do it. To compete we need to develop players and have a presence in different football markets. We’re a long way behind as it is. We need to be so much better in bringing players through from the UK and foreign markets. And when you look at our scouting compared to Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton we need to improve there also so we can improve our first team and sell them on for a profit.

Nas and Wes have missed a trick here. Instead of V Sports they should of named it Claret and BlueCo.

I don't like the principle of multi-club ownership either. Just seems to go against the spirit of competition.

But I suppose if everyone else is doing it...

I don't mind it as much as most if there is obviously a 'main' club and then lots of smaller clubs who get the benefit of some shared coaching ideas at training camps, a couple of loanees, etc. I think it becomes more of a problem when the gap between the top club and the others gets much smaller and you end up with a feeder team situation but we're not there and I hope if we do get to that point we don't go down that route.

There are a lot of things that would change my mind on it though but right now I don't see this as something that benefits us hugely, that negatively (or overly positively) influences the other teams or that somehow alters how the group gets managed. If we start crossing any of those lines then I'd revisit this.

Can't see it as it's behind a paywall but the headline is quite concerning.

Why? Is there any suggestion he's done anything untoward or nonconsensual? If not, then who gives a shit?
