People have suggested the gas holders site, and the Royal mail site, so there's two.
People have suggested the gas holders site, and the Royal mail site, so there's two. There's also absolutely no way of knowing how the council or existing businesses would react if a multi billion pound development company offered to to redevelop a certain area. So no, you're talking nonsense, as usual.
But as others have said where to? There is no where in the city centre, or the surrounding area to where we are now. Moving to the NEC is a no because that area copes with traffic just like Aston does, don't believe me go drive round there when there is a big show on. Also with midweek games you'll have to contend with JLR shift change over which will be an absolute nightmare.
I'm all for remaining at Villa Park but if we're forced to move due to constraints on redeveloping it then I'd have to say Avenue Rd is my preferred option. People keep on bringing up the same non starters ie Smithfield and Washwood Heath. These sites have gone guys. Avenue Rd would need a lot of work on the transport network and we would be leaving behind a site with 2 local train stations. Although you can access the canal at Avenue Rd and walk towards the centre or go the other way and exit at the Swan and Mitre opposite Aston station. Only a 5/10 minute walk.
The gas holders site is literally a 15 minute walk from New Street and less than that from Snow Hill. There are a number of bus stops closer than that. There are also a number of large, cheap car parks in the Gun Quarter which is about a 10 minute walk from there. The other side might be a bit more tricky, but it's got good access to the city centre cutting through the University campus.
There's a lot of deck chairs being rearranged on the Titanic here. We need to accept that we've had our day and that Blues are going to be the big dog now. 60,000 'people' watching a home derby with Port Vale? We're never competing with that. At the end of the day, we're a small, rattled club in Staffordshire. It's over. They've won.

But now you seem to think that anyone who doesn't post something you agree with is talking nonsense as usual. I'm surprised you didn't attack me more which seems to be your usual MO for when you don't like people not liking your nonsense, as usual.
Hands up anyone who's going in to work for an hour's overtime. And I'm struggling a bit with the line of thinking suggesting that because New Street is one of the busiest stations in Europe it somehow means it's easier to schedule more trains into it.
