I would start with the team that finished today, unless Hutton Grealish and Albert available.

Just looked at the Owlstalk forum which has a Match fixing thread based upon today's game and the terrible officials they keep getting. Fucking laughable as if there's a mighty conspiracy against them! Poor refereeing comes with the territory in the Championship.

Haven't looked at it but i'd imagine it's mainly sour grapes on there, however must admit I can't recall a game where a side only committed 1 foul before.

Whelan didn't seem elated when he scored. Maybe because he used to play for Wednesday.
Whelan was under the impression that by placing the ball in the net he had effectively nullified a Wednesday attack.

When I looked they had about six threads about us. I love having players other supporters hate.

I haven’t read the match thread

I assume it contains a series of balanced, realistic assessments of our strengths and weaknesses in proportion to a side that is one point off second place?
I think that's a bitterness filled comment and unnecessary. Match threads re live comments and should be ignored a second after ball has moved on.  To be truthful the team should be 4 point ahead in second place not 1 point behind with the rival having a game in hand.

I loved his 'celebration', he's marvellously dour. It hints at unremitting professionalism, which is most welcome. I think he's one of those that despite having limited impact on the pitch is the right character to have around the club, and that we've needed that almost as much.

Not home, so saw nothing of the game and only had any idea how it was going until about an hour in. I'm very happy that it turned around and we've avoided the sort of run that could've screwed 2nd for us.

Pretty sure it was his first goal since 2011, so he's probably forgotten how to celebrate them. And only his 5th since THAT goal.

I thought we were incredibly sloppy and gave them far too many chances. Delighted with the 3 points though. Getting them when you have'nt played that well is a bonus.

In fairness match fixing is the only plausible explanation for them conceding three at home to Small Heath.

Just watched the game on five.  The camerarderie with the players at the end is fantastic to see.  Even Henri was in amongst it.

They want to be looking at their own keeper, doing a passible impression of old Crisp-Packet-Hans Segers that day.

Yep. On another day we are going in at HT already 3 or 4-1 down. As it was we survived it and came away with a most unlikely win. Every promotion chasing side has them during the season.

We proper ground out that victory today, it was absolutely brilliant. These are the victories that’ll take us up!
