I haven’t read the match thread

I assume it contains a series of balanced, realistic assessments of our strengths and weaknesses in proportion to a side that is one point off second place?

Were we the 3pm TV game today then?
No - finally the AVTV worked from start.

Do we like that Fulham is ahead? No clue - Guess we fight for no 2 and it is crap

Anyway - today - the MAIN man was Snoddy! bloody .... - he was good today. Others - especially midfield were not so good - we rode our luck. Flooded the midfield without controlling it - Onomah was good the first 20 minutes - then I praised him :/ and was shit after.

Lesson learned? I will never ever praise a player on match thread again.

General rules of football supporting 1. Big up a player from your team and he has a nightmare. 2. Question the talent of an opposition player and he has a 'worldy'.

Just back, rode our luck in the 15 mins before half time. We were second best for an hour. But we somehow ran out winners.

Pleased for Whelan, gets a lot of stick, much of it unjustified.

Spent half time trying to reason with some bloke who was adamant that the end of our run of 7 wins coincided with Whelan' s return to the team. He couldn't grasp that he hadn't been on the pitch.

It's key we get Jack & Albert back in place of Hogan & that tart from spurs.

Woodhall is going to have an aneurysm defending the manager and coaches on this one. Shit conditioning, shit preparation, shit teamsheet, shit tactics.

Game lasts 90 minutes.

No way would I take Hogan out. His energy and enthusiasm in chasing the ball was exemplary.  Grealish for onomah and grabban on the left

If I was a Wednesday fan i'd now be sat in the pub thinking how the fuck did that happen.

I've been there myself enough with Villa. For a change I'm on the other side with this one.

Whelan didn't seem elated when he scored. Maybe because he used to play for Wednesday.

No Albert?

I may be biased as I was first (and only?) poster to suggest Grabban’s signing, but he’s twice the centre-forward Hogan is. Hogan runs all day but hardly touches the ball outside the box.

5 findings from today.

I’m not expecting Brian Granville but it would be nice to read some actual analysis of the game sometimes in the Mail

I think you’re asking a lot Matt. It’s an awful publication now. A few words, a bunch of ads, and something modestly controversial so you hate it enough to come back to it. But it’s just a terrible rag.
