The only one who thought it wasn't a penalty was the referee. That was a disgraceful one yesterday mind.I was bitter about that for weeks. We pummelled them and they broke away and won 1-0. It was a Wednesday night game the year they won the league. Shilton also made a real wonder save from a Mortimer pile driver but probably got less on the ball than Burns had!

Anyone got highlights that include Jack's supposed dive? I was sure it was a penalty.

The first goal was excellent football.
If you are going to be successful you have to thrash the opposition out of sight by at least three but preferably five goals. Apart from goalless draws against Anderlecht and Arsenal to reach cup finals and against Swindon to gain promotion. Although a one nil win with a scrappy goal can also bring success sometimes. Even two goal defeats aren't always a bad thing.
I'm just happy with the three points we didn't play well but still won which is a good sign.
Penalty here.https://twitter.com/villareport/status/960191114392293376Also let's all watch that bit of lovely football and reflect solemnly on ChicagoLion and his hatred of the Bruceball in evidence yesterday.
