Well done Armagh, means a lot to them as it's only their second All-Ireland, and my uncle and cousins will be happy.

Galway kicked away a lot of scores and yet still should probably have squared it at the end. it just never felt like it was going to be their day with the little breaks going Armagh's way.

Didn’t the final used to be played in September? I didn’t realise it was on today

Yeah, used to be the third or fourth Sunday in September. They've changed to a more compacted schedule so that the final's played by the end of July. The idea is to give the club game more prominence, and increase interest in the national league by playing it in Jan-March. I don't mind it but would have a few more rest weeks e.g. between the 'last 12' and 'last 8' games, to extend it into mid-August..

Cheers Gary.

Given the frenetic pace of the game it can’t be easy playing the semis and final in the Irish July heatwave season😊

Great to see Meath end Dublin's reign in Leinster, it was badly needed. Having said that, Hon Louth in the final.

Congratulations to Louth, Leinster Champions for the first time in 68 years. A fantastic game, well done 👏

Given the conditions it's not been perfect hurling, but it's a cracker of a Munster final. Some hard hurling out there and now they have 20 mins of extra-time. Luimneach Abú!

Cork win it after a penalty shootout. Amazingly the keepers saved 2 of the 9 nine penalties (2 were missed).

I don't know how keepers save anything.

Is Cork winning what you lads wanted? Or didn't you give a shite?

I'm a Corkman, so know what I wanted.

I am also able to guess that nobody outside of Cork wanted Cork to win!

Ah, ok. Is there a team that everyone else hates, like a Man Utd? Or is that Cork?

Overall, in both disciplines, probably the Dubs, which is no surprise.

But in Hurling, and certainly in Munster, it's Cork, I'd say - even though Kilkenny and Tipperary are just as good, and Limerick more recently.

What happens to Clare hurlers? They should have done so much more over the years. Good to see Cork hurling well, and Laois hurlers lost again, 2 seasons in a row.😞 Kilkenny were very good second half
