GAA football
« on: July 30, 2017, 11:00:32 AM »
Hi chaps,

me and my brother in-law are looking for somewhere in south Birmingham to watch the Mayo vs Ross Common game later today. Does anyone know if the games will be shown anywhere outside the city centre?

Cheers

Define "South Birmingham", whereabouts are you going? The Inn on the Green, Acocks Green has two tellies so I reckon they'd put it on if you ask.

That complicates things. To be honest, if you're that bothered, why not just head into town? I'm sure some of the Irish pubs in Digbeth will have it.

Casey Joes in Olton/AG should do but probably too far if you're SE Brum. I'd go in to Digbeth if I were you.

Good bar behans. Galway for the hurling, Dubs for the football get your money on for a double. Just a point, Goose in King's Heath shows all GAA games. Bit rough but a good laugh and my ol Man likes it in there

It would be ace if the The Rossies got through, do you think it's a missed chance? Mayo probably will win the replay?

My heart says the Rossies but my head says Mayo.   Too many wides did for Roscommon today.  What they do have in their favour though is the amount of games Mayo have had to play thus far.  Replay scheduled for Monday week 7th of August at Croke Park which happens to be a Bank Holiday over here.

Fair point, maybe the games will catch up with them. Good luck with the quest for The Sam! Having parents and family from Laois, my interest as an active supporter finishes pretty quickly, so C'mon Rosscommon!!!!

Why bring everyone back to Croke Park? For the GAA to get more euros? Play it in Galway
