If Henry is offered the job, it will be interesting to see what level of salary he will be paid? I should imagine that he would not come cheap since sky were paying him £24 million over six years.

If we are going to change the manager and probably pay top dollar to do it, I would prefer to coax the likes of Eddie Howe who at least as a proven track record.

So would I, but I don't think there's a chance in hell the likes of Howe or Dyche would jump ship for us.

I agree, they've got good solid jobs. Perhaps when we're up again, but by that point we'll have someone in charge who had us doing well!

Sacking Bruce with less than 2 weeks til the start of the new season and replacing him with Henry could quite possibly be the one of the stupidest decisions ever made in Villas history. May as well right the whole season off now.

There's been too much conviction for it not to be.

Whatever we think about Bruce.  To even contemplate replacing him with Henry in this league makes no sense on any football level.

I thought Bruce should of been sacked after the play off final regardless of result. I appreciate the stability that he has brought to the club, but fuck me he had a great squad and didn't get the best out of them. His reluctance to play some of the younger players was also frustrating.

That being said Henry is a big gamble especially at this stage of pre season. He has no management experience not even at u23 level. If he brings Steve Bould with him as assistant then I would feel better about the appointment.

May work, may not but it’s going to be far more interesting than with Bruce.
Who did fail.

It's a real starfucking appointment, but I guess he has more experience than Lampard? Goodness me what chaos.
