It's one tactic to try and smoke out a comment from the new ownership or club. Having said that I feel the fact it is on the back page suggests there is no smoke and all that...
The only thing is that Henry announced he left sky to concentrate on manager job .
Then villa have new investors
Then the link comes
One thing that doesn't add up is the daily star .
And "verbal agreement" basically means Henry says he wants to be a football manager .
Dave woods from daily star termed chief football writer was the breaker of the news .
There is nothing else to go on.
Make of that what you will. It's a nice story , makes sense and can fit with new rich investors wanting own man.
But it also doesn't fit for many reasons.
It's got everyone talking .
Bruce did say indications were positive and would think the meeting would be about seasons plans rather than give him the chop.
Having looked at the details and understanding how media works I think Henry talk could be nonsense.
In fact I ruling it out based on the source Dave woods .
Have a look at his claimed exclusives and they haven't emerged !
JT signed for Derby according to him way back in June
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/706597/Frank-Lampard-Derby-John-Terry-Chelsea-manager-Aston-VillaSo in regards to the back page Henry exclusive look at the wording .
I've worked out this writer wording and the verbal agreement by Henry is clearly Thierry saying in general he wants to be a manager .
The article is telling as he hasn't agreed anything plus not one other paper is running .
All about sensationalism and to keep talking interested. I put out there we aren't taking Henry !!
And due respect the type of person who may read the star generally isn't the most educated
However it's brought to many more people's consciousness due to online media and paper reviews etc.
I think this far fetched story had me for a while but I don't buy it .
Like I don't buy daily star
