Crikey, this was buried!

Anyway, has now scored in all four English divisions. Hats off, sir. You're looking important yet again. Keep it up.

Thing is with Hourihane, he doesn't offer anything other than goals, assists and deadly set pieces.

What I loved today was how he whipped the ball off targett’s feet before he took the shot. Confident and not afraid to take the initiative even after waiting for his chance then having a quiet game last week. He’s grown massively as a player in the last 2 seasons. Love him.

That constant improvement has been a feature of his whole career. Can often seem like quite a simple thing, but that determination and work rate is such a brilliant, and very likeable, characteristic.

One of my current favourite players, he deserves to be part of the squad and will always make a telling contribution whether he starts or not.

I would not have started him today after last week, but the manager knows best. He is a talented lad, lots of competition for places and that is great

Just a first rate professional.  Not moaned when not in the side and makes the most of the opportunities when given them.

Reckon Luiz is competing against Conor for this spot, as JG, SJM and Marv seemed to have their spots tied up, barring injury and rests. Initially I thought Luiz was competition for Marvellous, but he'd do a job here based on his shooting and goal scoring so far!

Still think Hourihane's best position at this level might be a more advanced role where had is given a big more freedom to egg forward.  McGinn had done very well in that role over the past couple of games, but Hourihane could be a good option there as well if he is absent.

Nice piece on Conor by Dan Bardell.

I agree, he is a very much underated cog in or machine.

A very important player indeed and team man

Can we ever forget the way he grabbed that leeds twat when El Ghazhi was sent off incorrectly in the scuffle afterwards - first in to protect his team mates. Also first to grab the slime that hit Jack on the pitch at the Temple of Doom

And that is without mentioning his "boomer" goals against Blues and bitters

I hope he commands his place going forward as he certainly brings balance to our team

Conor played well again tonight, provided an assist and a great strike for his goal.
