Are we paying Burnley the £5m up front or in instalments? Good riddance Westwood, the modern day Bernie Gallagher (nice and tries hard but not very good).

To be fair, we haven't exactly been smashing them in from corners even since he got taken off corner duty.

and people on here were saying Dyche would be a good manager for us

ha ha, yes I was one of them

it does make you wonder

Who's to say we won't get good form out of Westwood like he has with Lowton?

Fresh challenge, less demanding environment and all that.

5 goals 11 assist in 4 1/2 seasons , he cant do any worse.
And half those assists came in his first season.

Another name to throw into the mix, must admit I'd hardly heard of this guy until now, but he does sound a bit more plausible than Hogan.......but hey , these are curious times, perhaps we'll sign  both?! ........Godzvilla!.

Aston Villa in five-horse race to land PL winger – Sky journalist
30th January, 2017, 9:55 PM
By Harvey Byrne
Aston Villa are in a five-horse race to land Crystal Palace winger Lee Chung-Yong, according to a reliable journalist.
The right-winger has played in 19 fixtures for Sam Allardyces team in all competitions this campaign.

However, Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claimed on his personal Twitter account that the South Korean can leave before Tuesday’s transfer deadline with Villa one of his suitors.
Aston Villa have been named alongside fellow second tier sides Fulham and Brighton, while it is said that Premier League Burnely and Swansea are also possibilities.
Lee can provide versatility to any potential buyers due to his ability to play on the right, left and in the centre.
He is also very experienced in Championship football with 109 appearances to his name, bringing a return of 10 goals and 18 assists.[/i]

Ooh. I like wingers and being able to colour in new countries on the Villa Map of the World that exists in my head.

I should just buy a real one.

This is as good as a new signing.
Why is it?  Really why is losing a squad player as good as a signing?

He's fucking rubbish.

I do my best to look on the positive side of anything in life, but he's fucking atrocious.

He cannot score a goal
He cannot create one
He cannot change the play up with a dynamic ball
He cannot change the play by driving the game on
He has no pace
He is terrible in the air
He is weak in the tackle
He is weak in possession
And worst of all he has aged me with his complete lack of positional sense. They're running off you Westwood you useless little c***! Stop fucking pointing.

I'll never have to say that again.

Thank you Dyche, you utter balloon!
Stop sitting on the fence. Do you like him or not?

I don't know mate. Maybe because given the ammount of game time he recieved he has contributed the square root of fuck all over the last few seasons.

I just wish we were getting shot of Gabby, fee or no fee. I'd be a lot more happy than Westwood going.

So getting rid of a fringe player is better than signing, say, Lansbury?  Or a striker?  Or a right back?

I think it's hyperbole, for effect. I do it a million times a day.

Hogan is going to West Ham. How we were not pinning much hope on that one.

Have West Ham got any decent forwards we might go for? I don't really bother watching much of the tainted "Premier" League?

It was never going to be Hogan as Bruce said the deal was 'really close'.  Just people on Twitter grasping at straws. Would have been nice though. Unless we get Long, or Jay Rodriguez? (Loan?).

Aston Villa are one of five possible destinations for Crystal Palace's South Korean winger Lee
He's decent ball player and has skillz. Had a good work ethic but more attacking than defensive useful squad and competition.  Was brilliant at Bolton got injured lost his way.  After losing ayew would nt be averse to signing this guy
