I know I'm in a minority but I think Westwood is a decent player whose confidence was coached out of him by successive management regimes and being played in the wrong position.  If it us a loan we may find ouselves with a far better, more confident player when he returns.

The only time I want to see him in claret and blue is when he's pointing to the Villa players running past him as we smash Burnley 4-0 next season.
Told you I was in a minority. Probably of one.

He's fucking rubbish.

I do my best to look on the positive side of anything in life, but he's fucking atrocious.

He cannot score a goal
He cannot create one
He cannot change the play up with a dynamic ball
He cannot change the play by driving the game on
He has no pace
He is terrible in the air
He is weak in the tackle
He is weak in possession
And worst of all he has aged me with his complete lack of positional sense. They're running off you Westwood you useless little c***! Stop fucking pointing.

I'll never have to say that again.

Thank you Dyche, you utter balloon!

Two things I'm happiest about never having to see again from Westwood:
1) sideways and backward passing
2) This one winds me up the most. Him flapping his legs off the ground to look like he is actually attempting to win the ball when in a 50/50.
Thank you Sean Dyche, you will forever hold a special place in my heart

I'm not convinced that we are in for Hogan. Think it may be a smokescreen

and people on here were saying Dyche would be a good manager for us

ha ha, yes I was one of them

it does make you wonder

Who's to say we won't get good form out of Westwood like he has with Lowton?

Fresh challenge, less demanding environment and all that.

I've always imagines that Westwood is one of those players who trains well. Ticks all the boxes in terms of fitness, speed, etc, and is very rarely injured so always in the squad and around the starting XI. Then, almost by default (players moving-on, getting injured, etc) he find himself in the team and never plays so glaringly badly that he's never dropped.

With the state we've been in overt he past few years, there's always been either a slightly more rotten apple in the bowl, or several better looking apples, and so- until now - replacing him has never been a priority.

I take it he won't be on your Crimbo card list this year? At least that'll be one less stamp to fork out for. Innit.

I know everyone hates Westwood but I wish him luck

Not the player I thought he might be at the end of lambert's first season and I have my doubts he can cut it in burnley's 442

But nowhere near as bad as some would say

Having said all that, pretty chuffed at £5m!

Agree. Bet he is probably a really nice fella so good luck to him. £5m f in quid. Great deal for us

I agree.

He's good mates with Albrighton and gets on well with Lawton all 3 are decent off the pitch

Well there's floaty corners; and there's FLOATY corners. He's certainly the very best in the business, yes Sir.

Good shout there , footy. I'd forgotten about that. He was a veritable Floaty McFloatface when it came to (floaty) corners. We'll be missing them now, that's fo' sho.
