Ayew want's out so no point holding onto him

Do tell ?

Been told that he has made no secret to Villa that if a premiership move was possible then he'd like to talk to the club in question. His agent had actively been speaking to possible suitors for months. Even down to Ayew having a pre Africa. Cup medical so that it would enable him to complete a move this month if one could arise

Going to Swansea would be madness.  This time next season, he'll be in a worse position than he is now, other than if he has China or a similar cushion if and when Swansea go down.

Got a feeling it's mostly money motivated with Ayew. His wages are now half what they were last season so a move back to prem wages will be a factor. I'm also not convinced Swansea will go down. They have done some good business this month and seem to be picking up.

Three more coming in, four going out, seemingly from the Tony tweets.

Out: Tshibola, Ayew, McGate, Kozak?
In: Taylor, Bedeau and Rhodes?

I make it possibly 5 out?

The swap deal, then:
-75%, -50%, -50%, -50%

I'd be sorry to see Tshibola go.

I would rather see Westwood and Jedinak move on  and Tshibola stay.

I don't agree about Jedinak, I think he'll come into his own again with better players in front of him, instead of lumbering about around him.

another terrible RDM buy at the money we paid/are paying him. I wonder though, if we might tempt the Beast back if Palace go down!

Far too early to ship Tshibola out even if it's on-loan. We simply have to sign at least one striker before 11.00pm on Tuesday. We have the midfield creativity at last, but must have the strikers to finish any chances!

Kidnap Hogan after the Brentford game and get the Icelandic fella and Jedinak to sit on him and gag him in the back of the Transit until he signs. Hopefully he'll give-in before midnight.

I would sooner see the winger come in from Swansea than Taylor or Rhodes. We need pace so badly that he would have more impact i think.  Unless Amavi is going to be moved forwards in front of Taylor, which might be effective.

I don't think he's got the legs to play in a side with as little possession as we seem to have.  Especially in the Championship where it's regularly 2 games a week.  A better midfield will fix that and he can still be an asset for us.

Crazy to suggest moving out the Jedi! He has plenty to offer.
Interestingly a Palace-supporting mate bemoans his absence down at SP.

I would sooner see a loan swap than a long term one. Van Arnholt and Schlup are younger and much more versatile than Taylor, plus Palace are overpaying badly for both realistically.  I wold much sooner get Taylor and Barrow in the deal as we lack pace and strength out wide and Barrow gives us a different option. Would not be shocked to see Liverpool offer big money for Amavi before close of play Tuesday.

Agree about Schlup. Van Arnholt is a really good player though and has got a goal in him. Maybe a couple of million overpriced though.

I think both are incredibly mediocre personally and says it all about the declining standards expected of Full backs e.g. no one actually expects them to defend anymore!

Taylor should be more than good enough at this level given time.

I wouldn't be against Amavi in left midfield but begs the question of why would we suddenly start playing him there when we've started signing midfielders.

Wouldn't shock me if Amavi moves last minute this window. Would balance the books which we need to do given the level we now operate in.

More grist for the rumour mill , good point made about the FFP, something I'd forgotten about with all the ' comings' and fewer ' goings'....Godzvilla!

According to The Telegraph, Steve Bruce has made a bid for Swansea duo Neil Taylor and Modou Barrow in an attempt to strengthen his squad further.

Bruce has already spent around £10 million this January, ...
Ayew has been mentioned as part of a swap deal with Barrow, as Bruce, due to Financial Fair Play, cannot keep signing new players without trimming his squad.

Can anyone make sense of the figures here re FFP?

It's irrelevant for the first couple years post relegation.
