I've been as critical about Delph as anyone but it'd be great to have him back. Downing, depends on hs fitness and attitude.

Downing must be about 40 now isn't he? plus he took the piss out of us big time with the Liverpool thing, so it's a no from me.

McCormack is not a lone striker.  Until we play 2 up and find a system to accommodate that he's going to look pretty rubbish.

Agreed. McCormack scored a bucket load of goals last season alongside Dembele in a piss poor Fulham side

While Kodjia away why not play him alongside Flabby and see what happens? Has to be better than Flabby or Ross up front on their own...

This to me is the problem.  Bruce is very reluctant to start with 2 out and out strikers.  I think he has done so once (Burton) where he went 4411.  RM had a decent game that day and I was impressed with his work rate after he dropped deeper in the closing stages as we held onto our slender lead.

I think that Norwich will be far more suited to him and letting him go there could boost a potential promotion rival next season.  I see him scoring regularly, when played in a 442 or 4411.

I personally quite like McCormack.  He has drawn the short straw since Bruce has taken over but is still good to be able to bring on from the bench.  I wouldn't be overly upset as to whether he stays or goes.  He's a great squad player but I can't see him being a regular starter under Bruce.  If we can get 10-12 million for him, or a replacement of similar value, it could also work well.

Ideally, I'd like to sell Ayew and keep McCormack.  I really like Ayew but I have just about reached a point where I feel he wouldn't be missed.  We've waited half a season for him to impose himself yet as we speak, he has generally failed to do so.  At what point do you cut your losses?

i think McKormack's a decent footballer, he has linked up well with Grealish on occasion.   Kodija and Ayew both seem to be head down individualistic types and I think McKormack is more of a give and go sort of player who would link things up neatly and then get on the end of things.  He's no pace, that's for sure, but I see him as a kind of stocky (fat?) Teddy Sheringham type.

McCormack is an intelligent footballer who needs to be played in a TEAM which Villa unfortunately are not, just a bunch of individuals!

He will score loads of goals in the right team and structure.

He sounds good - let's hope we don't spread him too thinly.

I'm going to be gutted if we haven't signed at least two starters before the Dogheads match. Preferably Bree and Houriane

They've started playing some decent football of late and if we lose to them i'll never be able to visit my local again

We need two midfielders and a right back.
