McCormack is not a lone striker. Until we play 2 up and find a system to accommodate that he's going to look pretty rubbish.
Agreed. McCormack scored a bucket load of goals last season alongside Dembele in a piss poor Fulham side
While Kodjia away why not play him alongside Flabby and see what happens? Has to be better than Flabby or Ross up front on their own...
This to me is the problem. Bruce is very reluctant to start with 2 out and out strikers. I think he has done so once (Burton) where he went 4411. RM had a decent game that day and I was impressed with his work rate after he dropped deeper in the closing stages as we held onto our slender lead.
I think that Norwich will be far more suited to him and letting him go there could boost a potential promotion rival next season. I see him scoring regularly, when played in a 442 or 4411.
I personally quite like McCormack. He has drawn the short straw since Bruce has taken over but is still good to be able to bring on from the bench. I wouldn't be overly upset as to whether he stays or goes. He's a great squad player but I can't see him being a regular starter under Bruce. If we can get 10-12 million for him, or a replacement of similar value, it could also work well.
Ideally, I'd like to sell Ayew and keep McCormack. I really like Ayew but I have just about reached a point where I feel he wouldn't be missed. We've waited half a season for him to impose himself yet as we speak, he has generally failed to do so. At what point do you cut your losses?
