2-1 Villa. Really fancy us and cannot see us losing.

Kodj and Rotund Ross off the bench.

I hate these games. If we're told we would win 100 games out of a hundred I would still rather not play them. Just in case the cheated and got a draw.

Rarely do we get games where we can play football and leave them behind. Only time we did it was when they had the clown McCliesh as manager and we deserved to tonk them 5-1. We then chose the clown as our manager (still cannot get my head around that)
I really think Bruce will have them up for this

Last time I went to St Andrews it was a Simod Cup match and we stuffed them, got a feeling we could hand them a similar hiding this time.

0-6 Baker, RM, Kodjia and a hattrick from Gestede with all 6 goals assisted by MON Gary Gardner. Cue Bruce celebrated by pulling a moonie at the Blues fans.

Simod Cup was at VP. That was the 13-0 season. 2-0 at the Sty and 5-0 at VP in the LC as well as the Simod Cup game.

I'm sensing a very dull, drab 0-0

I know what you mean but I do wonder how the Rags' players will adopt to playing for the first time in front of a crowd. Hopefully the shock will get to them. As long as our lads match them with effort our quality should shine through.

Trivia time. When was the last time we won a league game at the sty by more than 1 goal? No Googling the answer!!

Anyone else with a guess?

I think it's sometime beyond my living memory  - so probably before we were promoted in 1975.

2-0 in 1970, the relegation season? Including the "Dave Latchford's a silly get, A 25 yarder's in the net" goal?

Love watching footage of old games that I was at. If I close my eyes I can remember exactly where I was standing when Thommo headed in the winner. It was a great day. It also brings back memories of just what a complete dump the Sty was back then, and I haven't forgotten dodging the piss pouring down the terraces either. A rotten ground for a rotten club.
