3-0 Villa.
ftf
-
FFTFFFs.
-
I don't know how and I don't know why but 1-3 Villa.
-
I don't think we'll lose, we have the new manager bounce and a guy in the dugout who knows what hes doing. 1-1 or 2-1 Villa.
-
Predicting doom and gloom seems to be going well recently so I'll go for a miserable defeat. (Hope I haven't now jinxed this by acknowledging it, superstition is so confusing)
-
Adomah for gestede, no other changes, 2-0 villa
Kodjia and mccormack with a late goal as a sub
-
1-1
-
We won't lose. Nose fan at work is shitting himself as Ayew and Kodj are way more threatening than anyone they have.
-
Whose that knocking on the window ? Whose that knocking on the door ? It's Freddie Goodwin and his mob selling Vincent for a bob, and they wont beat the Villa anymore !

I found a signed photo of a very young Johnny Vincent in an old football annual the other day.
I wonder how much it's worth ?

Got my tickets and feeling v positive
We are going to win 2-1 (or 1-2 for the pedantics)
You heard it here first.
Shabba!
-
An away win.
Of any kind.
Please.

An away win.
Of any kind.
Please.
Good evening younger brother, coincidental posting there!
-
I feel physically sick.
-
I feel physically sick.
Too many pickled eggs?
-
I feel sick too, statistically us winning 3 on the bounce after the shit fest of the past few years is a huge ask.
-
I feel physically sick.
You always do when it comes to derby games. 1-3 away win.
-
I think y'all find that, our last 3 league game winning run also included a victory over the Pikey Blinders. Am I reet?
-
0-2 to the good guys please! :)
UTV.

Aye. It was also the 3rd game in that run.
-
There is no reason on earth as to why we should not win this match. COME onThe VILLAAAA
-
We will thrash the fu**in' fu**ers 1-0!
please
FTFs!
-
Timing is key and we're going to this on the up whereas they are on a bit of a down. Despite their decent start, I still think they're a mid table side and there isn't much to fear. A win on Sunday could be a real kickstart for us.
-
Filth 1 Us 1
-
It's been said a lot this season, but I hope this is the game where everything comes together and we batter the shit out of the fuckers.
-
0-0, put your mortgage on it. 22 players behind the ball with everyone happy with a point and scared of losing. Even the two kick-offs will go backwards and then out for a throw. Looking forward to it though!
-
If we want to go up we need to beat teams like blues. To my mind as a child of the 90s they think a lot more about us than them.
I hope in Bruce we have a relatively functional manager and should get a point at least. With our bench and depth we should expect more. Hell. Sherwood beat em
-
2-2 draw exciting game keep S B s run going
-
Rudy hit a first half hat trick against them last time he was at St Andrews.Hopefully he will have a big part to play in this fixture again. 1-2 to us.
-
I feel physically sick.
I've never understood why people get themselves into this kind of state just because we're playing that rabble. They're not worth it.

As a non Brummie I'd agree but it doesn't mean I don't want us to tear them apart on the pitch and give them the kind of mauling we seem to dish out on a too infrequent basis.
-
Judging by the sheer volume of crap they are posting all over Facebook etc i think they are really fired up for their cup-final, we, on the other hand, are virtually silent on it - and i think that says a lot about the mentalities of both sets of supporters.
-
I'm off for a lovely walk over Wenlock Edge while this drama is playing out as I hate it when I am not at a match. Will return to the car, check the score and then have a cup of tea in the village - followed by a skinful if we win ;-)

A skinfull of tea sounds horrible. I'll be having a few beers when we win!
I'm not that keen on these games, but I think we'll sneak it 2-1
-
Steve Bruce to continue his unbeaten run.
-
a draw and then a win against Blackburn would be good business
-
Routine 0-2 away win against our inferiors.
-
Is it on telly?
-
At a time like that, why of course it is.
-
Thank you for the sarcastic reply, it has cleared things up.
-
Sky Sports 2
-
Is it on telly?
Sky Sports 2 so at least we should be able to get some live streams instead of just WM commentary
edit: oops, Legion beat me to it

2-1, Kodja and Gardner. My prediction for Fulham was spot on...
I think we'll win 1-0 in an uncomfortable affair.
Kodjia will put us in the lead at some point in the second half, followed by us absolutely riding our luck defensively and somehow coming away unscathed (similar to the Wolves second half).
-
When was the last time we won 3 on the bounce?
I keep getting 2-2 stuck in my mind

I too have a gut feeling that Gardner will score (im predicting one of his 30 yarders finally finds the net) - even put £10 on him to score

-
I think we will nick it 1-0 or 2-1 if we play like we did second half v Fulham.
Neither team will play well and the new manager bounce, small amount of momentum we have and the SB factor will give us the edge.
-
Hate these games. The feeling of confidence about us at the minute is also unsettling, although I suppose I'd feel even more worried if we'd just lost the last three.
Just win please Villa, don't care how you do it.

2010.
The third team we beat were...
Birmingham City.

I'll be at Wemberleeee for the NFL. I don't know whether to find a pub for the SHA game or just ignore it
-
I feel physically sick.
This, I'll be feeling dandy come 3pm sunday
-
2-2, Ayew with both
-

It's a big game Clampy, but I think you've got a point. We've got bigger fish to fry than them this season, whereas this is their season.

Dibble are locking us in after the game. They've spoken to Villa fans allegedly, nobody who has ever been it would seem.
Looking forward to the indescriminate flying bottles over the fence.

we were locked in for well over an hour a few years back ( one of the ones gabby scored late on)
all that happens is the peacemakers and families all go home leaving a load of nutters throthing at the mouth to contend with as you exit
-
That lot are still trying to flog tickets for the derby. 4 days before kick off and they still haven't sold out a paltry 23k tickets.

I was at said game. I remember being ambushed by a load of bat weilding thugs flying out of a pub wearing balaclavas.
As mentioned, it just gives them a chance to mob up on the sitting ducks, rather than just being able to mingle and make your way home peacefully, like the vast majority in attendance (on both sides) want to do.

Birmingham City v Aston Villa: Police bid to ease tension among rival fans during derby clash
Strict searches and away supporters held back at the final whistle are among measures aimed at easing flash-points at this weekend's derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham City.
PUBLISHED: October 26, 2016 11:40 am LAST UPDATED: October 26, 2016 11:43 am
Police today warned fans to behave as they move to diffuse tension ahead of the highly-charged second city derby on Sunday.
West Midlands Police pleaded with fans to make the match, being held at St Andrews, a trouble-free occasion.
It is the first time that the eagerly-awaited game has been held at the home of Birmingham City in the league for more than five years.
A visible police presence will be in place in and around the ground as part of policing plans to ensure the safety of the public.
The force said, following consultation with fans, away supporters will be held back in the ground for a brief period after the final whistle to assist the flow of people leaving the stadium.
Match commander Chief Inspector Nick Rowe said: “It will be great to see two sets of passionate fans come along and enjoy the spectacle - and atmosphere - of a local derby.
“This is a great occasion and our role is to ensure a safe event for everyone who attends the game.
“The vast majority of supporters are well-behaved but there may be some who see the fixture as an excuse to cause trouble.
“We will not tolerate crime or violence which is connected to football. Anyone who is arrested for football-related matters may face the risk of a banning order which will prevent them from attending future fixtures.”
There will be a police and club search operation at the turnstiles including police sniffer dogs being deployed to ensure pyrotechnic devices such as flares and smoke bombs are not taken into the ground.

That was 2007-08.
2010 was our sixth straight win, via a late Milner penalty. Stephen Carr earned himself a place in the Bordesley Hall of Fame by swearing at the Holte End after yet another defeat.
The previous two wins in the sequence were away victories at Portsmouth and Hull.

Oh fuck I've added to the quote fail.

I'll be at Wemberleeee for the NFL. I don't know whether to find a pub for the SHA game or just ignore it
Does the NFL start at 14:30? If so you'll be a bit pushed for time watching the Villa and then going to Wembley.

I'm sensing a very dull, drab 0-0

It was a pub in/around Wemberleee that I was talking about. However, since its clocks this weekend, the NFL is 13:30. Therefore, its not really worth bothering
-
Streak will continue as long as Westwood and Grealish doesn't start.
Grealish banned for one more and Bruce already figured out Westwood is crap.
3-1 Villa
-
Wouldn't it be great to smash them and be able to relax in the away end and rip the piss in style? It's always too nervy and you can't fully let rip when it's 1-0 as you're always waiting for it to bite you on the arse.
-
Trivia time. When was the last time we won a league game at the sty by more than 1 goal? No Googling the answer!!
-
0-1 McCormack 76mins. Cue pandemonium in the away end, aptly renamed after him!
-
Was it in the 80s about 84 2-0 to us Gary Thompson cracking header to put us 1-0 up

2-1 Villa. Really fancy us and cannot see us losing.
Kodj and Rotund Ross off the bench.

I hate these games. If we're told we would win 100 games out of a hundred I would still rather not play them. Just in case the cheated and got a draw.
Rarely do we get games where we can play football and leave them behind. Only time we did it was when they had the clown McCliesh as manager and we deserved to tonk them 5-1. We then chose the clown as our manager (still cannot get my head around that)
I really think Bruce will have them up for this
-
UTV!!!!VTID!!!!!!
sotc....#fro (f-ck right off)
In Portugal for the next week. A Villa win...please!!!
Obrigado!

Last time I went to St Andrews it was a Simod Cup match and we stuffed them, got a feeling we could hand them a similar hiding this time.
0-6 Baker, RM, Kodjia and a hattrick from Gestede with all 6 goals assisted by MON Gary Gardner. Cue Bruce celebrated by pulling a moonie at the Blues fans.
-
Simod Cup was at VP. That was the 13-0 season. 2-0 at the Sty and 5-0 at VP in the LC as well as the Simod Cup game.
-
I'm sensing a very dull, drab 0-0
I know what you mean but I do wonder how the Rags' players will adopt to playing for the first time in front of a crowd. Hopefully the shock will get to them. As long as our lads match them with effort our quality should shine through.
-

Anyone else with a guess?

I think it's sometime beyond my living memory - so probably before we were promoted in 1975.
-
Ok pws I give up

"in front of a crowd of almost 28 thousand!" Wow.

2-0 in 1970, the relegation season? Including the "Dave Latchford's a silly get, A 25 yarder's in the net" goal?

Love watching footage of old games that I was at. If I close my eyes I can remember exactly where I was standing when Thommo headed in the winner. It was a great day. It also brings back memories of just what a complete dump the Sty was back then, and I haven't forgotten dodging the piss pouring down the terraces either. A rotten ground for a rotten club.
-
2-0 in 1970, the relegation season? Including the "Dave Latchford's a silly get, A 25 yarder's in the net" goal?
Yep. 30th March 1970. I was 18 days old, first game we won after I was born.
-
I'm afraid I was 15 years old, nearly 16. I do remember both goals clearly. I think it was Easter Monday?
-
As it was me, and I do so want everyone to know that it was me, that coined, "And all was well with the universe thanks to Gabby Agbonlahor". Can I request that the Villa win option is changed to, "All is well with the universe".
-
I remember it well.
-
Can't see this being anything other than 0-0
-
1-1 and I'll be happy with a point.
-
We'll score at least one, their defence looked crap against Burton. They've got Paul Robinson, he scored against us for Albion in 2005 and he was about 30 then!
-
0-3, just got that feeling UTV

I was one of thousands trying to get into the Tilton Road End. Got in the ground just before half time. Pandemonium broke out. From memory I think that was Thompsons header. Wasn't that the day someone painted AVFC onto the grass in creosote the night before?
-
Whys the stand opposite the away end almost empty on that video?
-
Whys the stand opposite the away end almost empty on that video?
Well what with the closure of the Rover less than 20 years away in the future fans were only rightly concerned about their priorities...
-
Whys the stand opposite the away end almost empty on that video?
Because it's Blues. Everyone in Birmingham supports them, but they only go if they get to Wembley or take 100,000 to Bruges.

I'm sure that was the time when there was only about two turnstiles open for us to get in. Bloody scary. I can remember feeling like all the air was being sucked out of my body in the crush with police on horses forcing us forward.
I finally got into the ground and rounded on a steward next to those bloody awful open air toilets telling him they needed to tell someone to do something as someone was going to get really hurt. Luckily my mate pulled me off him as I was so irate I would have got nicked, something I'm not very proud of but couldn't help after what I'd just seen.
I still can't believe there were no injuries that day. Such poor policing and non existing stewarding. Every time I see a reference to Hillborough I think of that day.
I can remember the win but that day is tainted by what could have been.
-
The piss pouring down the terraces was actually at a friendly in 95 under Little to commemorate the opening of the new Kop and Tilton. Absolutely flooding through the ceiling of one of the exits under the upper Railway.
Absolute dog hole of a ground.

I will say 1-1. I can't see us winning 3 on the trot.
-
With all the misery and let downs we have had to endure for the last few years, very occasional false hopes soon to be dashed, it's hard to confidently predict that a positive run will continue- but that is precisely what i think will happen. We have good vibes about us, it feels like we have a bit of luck with us at the moment, and we haven't even started to play well yet! I'm going for 3-1 Villa- the day we arrive and show we are serious, and this might not just be a new manager honeymoon type thing.
Mind you that's how it felt with Sherwood for a while there 😬
-
We are going to win 2-1 (or 1-2 for the pedantics)
Pedants.
Nice work Dave. Pedantics indeed! :D
ps Actually, the original pedant-fail is the sort of thing that Stuart 'Psycho' Pearce might come out with: i.e. "I tell ya what fella, there's certainly more glamourable cup ties today - but that might be one for the pedantics, if ya like..."
-
I don't post often, but when I do I like to be irritating ;)

I went to one pre-season around then when we'd just bought Simon Grayson. Think it was a drab 0-0.

I took my dad to that and remember having to dodge flying bottles as we came out.

Must have got it muddled up with the other game, I would have been at both but wasn't as old or fuzzy headed as I am now. Still think we might get a nice big win though.
-
Even their own, more sensible, fans won't go there. My mate is a Bloser from Bromsgrove who had a ST but stopped going when a bloke he sat near tried to pick a fight with him every week. He never found out why and just stopped in the end. He's a 6' 2" police officer but never felt safe!
-
I gave my ticket to a mate of mine who loves these derbies. He'll enjoy it more than I would have, although the last time I went there (1-1, Collins scored for us), it wasn't that bad really. It's just a pain in the arse going to game where the opposing fans hate you more than they like themselves.
-
The only way is up....baby.
A Villa win and a clean sheet...this could be the week that we give somebody a walloping (pretty please).

Ironic my son loves these games, perhaps it is just me getting older (and wiser) and can't be bothered with all the associated crap?
-
0-1 to us for 89 mins. They equalise and then have a pitch invasion because they are so petty. I mean... its not like our pitch invasion at Reading... *cough*
-
6-2 us
-
Any chance ............ Gabby who is travelling with the team (according press conference) to be named on the bench and come on after 85 minutes to net the winner??

I think the whole thing of wanting to physically hurt someone over football is fucking ridiculous. Some rivalry is great, but when it ends up in abuse and fighting it's just idiotic.

Have to agree pal, you're out of form, we're unbeaten in three.

Was it in the 80s about 84 2-0 to us Gary Thompson cracking header to put us 1-0 up
I wS in the railway end upper loads of villa up there
I was one of thousands trying to get into the Tilton Road End. Got in the ground just before half time. Pandemonium broke out. From memory I think that was Thompsons header. Wasn't that the day someone painted AVFC onto the grass in creosote the night before?
Exactly as I remember it, Villabear.
I remember being in the second pen and it being scarily crowded, you really didn't have any way of moving, whilst the few thousand SHA fans could lounge around at their leisure.
If they hadn't opened the third pen it could have been very bad as the thousands outside made their way in.

Shit ground, always has been - always will be, end of!
-
The match - Bruce will have the players pumped up like being on Jack's stuff. A win is a must and will happen.
Everything about Small heath is small and petty. They could win the world cup and still not be bigger than the Villa.
As for the rivalry to the club (not the fans) Tescos is the biggest rivalry - this probably pisses them off as well. Anything that pisses Bloose off is good in my book.

The problem with starting with Adomah though is that you've not got anyone like him to come off the bench for the last 25 mins when they start to tire at the back. Maybe a compromise and start McCormack and have him sitting just in front of the midfield three. I reckon he'll go with Gestede though.

That was 2-1 in 1987.
i don't remember Mark Walters returning to Villa. Which club did we sign him from?
We didn't (unfortunately). We sold him to Rangers later in the year.
i thought he went way before that
Bit late to the party here, but did the ball really go in for their 'goal'? Looks to me as if it just went past the post!

It's my birthday on Sunday and it isn't going to be ruined. Dog shit 0 Villa 3.

I'd appreciate a screenshot if anyone's got proof.

Double cheers

Ha ha, yes, the ball went through a hole in their net. It really was a dump back then. I hate the stereotype of them being the scruffy poor club and us looking down our nose at them but they don't do themselves any favours sometimes. If the flat, peaky blinders inspired cap fits...
Another example of my generally superior attitude towards them: We got in early and there were a handful of skinheads facing us on their terrace who had a big sign expressing their plan to 'sh*t on the Villa'. Admittedly they were a bit intimidating but my main thought was 'do people still dress like that?'. It was 1987, football fashion was important so they looked totally ridiculous and '1980' to someone like me in my lemon lacoste cardigan and bright red Kickers shoes.

West Midlands Police is encouraging Birmingham City and Aston Villa supporters to enjoy derby day and ensure it remains trouble-free this Sunday (30 October).
The eagerly-awaited game at St Andrews is the first league fixture between the clubs for more than five years.
A visible police presence will be in place in and around the ground as part of policing plans to ensure the safety of the public.
Officers have worked with both Birmingham City and Aston Villa in preparation for the fixture as well as speaking to representatives of supporter groups.
Following consultation with fans; away supporters will be held back in the ground for a brief period after the final whistle to assist the flow of people leaving the stadium.

It will be imporant to have a physical presence aswell as I reckon they'll set out to kick us and see how we react. I too might have Adomah as sub as he's had a knock recently so they'd probably test that early on.
We need to get at their left...I see Robinson is in line to start for them at left back as their regular is suspended...he must be about 50 now?!
1-1, they'll get a jammy late goal after we miss a hatful of chances at 1 up.

Just read it myself. They're saying about how we're arrogant and feel we should be beating everyone and top of the premiership. I've never actually thought that, although theres certain teams I expect to beat (blues and albion being some of them) I don't see us having to win the premier league. I expect trophies and cup runs, beating the sky four on a more regular basis but that doesn't make me any less of a fan. They just don't like it cus we're better than them, and we always will be

Simod Cup was at VP. That was the 13-0 season. 2-0 at the Sty and 5-0 at VP in the LC as well as the Simod Cup game.

Me - "You asked me when was the last time we were in a cup final. So how was it when you won? It's a while ago now isn't it?
"I didn't goo"
Me - "You do surprise me. Are you going next week"?
"No, can't get a ticket"
Me - "You haven't sold out yet"
Oh, i'll watch it down here"
Thick twats, I hope we batter them.

I've just been out training with my U12's and invited an FA guy to come along and help out because of his vast experience.
Turns out he's a Bluenose! To be fair, he's a good lad and we had a long chat about things - he said he'd take a draw now and said they're much more fearful of us now we have SB in charge.
He had a couple of little digs during the session (my lad had his Villa shirt on) - I countered at the end when he said to the boys he also scouted for Blues by saying it didn't matter how bad they'd played tonight, they'd probably still get a trial for a club like that!
-
It was so pathetic, so limp and lacklustre that I'll never forget it. Only one team was ever going to win that day, even the atmosphere was shite.
We were completely outplayed that day, worse than the 0-2 the year before. That night the pressure got to our players and the sendings off turned it. The 1-2 in 2004 though was piss poor. Even when we scored late on to make it 1-2 nobody believed we'd get anything, we were garbage that day.
The worst home game against them for me is still the 2-2 though. Still get shudders about that Stern John goal and I'll never forget the collective gasp from the Holte (well the few thousand of us in there, there were at least 10,000 noses in there of course) when the ball fell to him.
-
The 1-2 game seems to have slipped my mind, who scored?

Didn't Barry score in the 2004 game and you could clearly see him saying something along the lines of "it's too fucking late" as he ran back for the KO?

David Dunn and Clinton Moron for them. Barry for us.

The 1-2 game seems to have slipped my mind, who scored?
Sorensen virtually chucking the ball in that time.
I can only think of Forsell's header when we won 2-1 at their place as a goal of any quality they scored against us, it's all rebounds, miss hits and mistakes.

I can't be arsed looking at it but would strongly fancy that the following is on there.
We're all glory hunter, followed up later with we haven't won anything for 20 years.
They are all salt of the Brummies (from places like Rubery, Redditch and Solihull), we all live in the Cotswolds. They never explain though how a city that is blue is the 14th best supported in the second division.
They are all dead hard and we are all scared of them.
They go on The Holte and home stands at VP in their thousands and make lots of noise there. Despite no one ever seeing or hearing them.
We're jealous that they have Birmingham in their name.
KRO is the bestest anthem ever and we only say Veela.
We are all arrogant for thinking we should beat them. When we do beat them it's because we spent more money.
It's the same kind of shit they've been peddling for decades in an effort to convince each other that they aren't a nothing club that has spent half its history in the lower leagues and can't even sell 23000 tickets for a derby game.
-

Both were the pretty similar, both shots were soft, one slipped through his arms and body and the other slipped under him. Those two games were the worst we ever played against them.

They did have a mental hold over us in those times but luckily they sold Savage and that evaporated over the next few seasons.

Savage made his living by being a wind up merchant and would have possibly done a job on the likes of Ayew. That said, he is a class above any of their mob and I really hunk we have the team to beat them. Who is going to be bullied from our side? I can't think of any tbh. No club ever brings more coaches than the Noses. The club put them on too.
Surprises me given how dead hard those big bad Zulus are, as to why they'd need 40 coaches to dodge the Sutton bobble hat wearers.

Does it really matter how may coaches they bring when they come to us, surely we should be concentrating on us and letting them come out with things that really have no meaning

I'd like to banish it from my thoughts. A dreadful game. I was sat in the Holte with my dad and best mate. There was a horrific fat woman chanting about Dwight Yorke, behind us. Something about Jordan, his son and I remember the line 'he's black, but we can't say that'. (Was he on the bench that day for them?) What a c u next Tuesday she was.
Anyway, a truly miserable day.
Let's do the crayon eating neanderthal bastards this weekend.
1-0 to us. Rudy.
-
the comedy gold is literally a full page post saying we are obsessed with them
oh and the fact they regularly sit in the holte and celebrate wildly
They haven't won at Villa Park since 2003 so god knows what it is they sit there celebrating.

Does it really matter how may coaches they bring when they come to us, surely we should be concentrating on us and letting them come out with things that really have no meaning
Yes it does, it nails another one of their porkies.
-
Would still appear that Small Heath have not sold their 23600 tickets .............
-
I remember before the Cahill game I had to wait to walk across Six Ways as their coaches were getting escorted in. There were loads of them, must have been two dozen plus.
Crivens - that must've been a terrifying ordeal for ya Pete! Were the incarcerated hard men gesticulating rudely at you as they passed? Frankly, those extra digits make such displays of aggression all the more scary. Mercy me. :'(
-
The pressure is on us. We should win but there again I say that every week. Would I take a 0-0 now probably although would still be disappointed. Hopefully Bruce will have us pumped up like he had them against us.
-
When told that they hadn't sold their tickets, Mrs OTN said "that's bloody bad".......
-
This game where Sorenson made the mistake was at the Sty though not VP.
He fucked up in both games, the one at Villa Park was probably the worst of the two.
Both were the pretty similar, both shots were soft, one slipped through his arms and body and the other slipped under him. Those two games were the worst we ever played against them.
Never forgave Sorenson for those errors.
-

and some of us are looking for one! Makes no sense. Such is modern football

Can't afford to get nowt from Sunday and Brighton away. 3 points here and Blackburn home should take some pressure off going to Brighton.
-
I spoke to Gary 'Bruno' Thompson last season and he said how nice it was to score those two goals for us and even more so that he beat Vince Overson to score both goals... He said what a thoroughly unpleasant individual he was and he almost took his face off for the first goal... Great day that was.... More of the same Sunday please! Up the Villa.

As a Villa fan living in London, does anyone know any pubs that will be showing the game tomorrow in South or North London? Thanks!
-
Other than the trivial matter of bragging rights, this is an important test for us. If we go a goal down do we capitulate as we have done or do we have the fight to keep going. A good result will add to the momentum and be huge confidence boost.
My biggest concern is Mike Dean, the most arrogant referee since David Ellerey.
-
Any pubs showing this tomorrow in brum?
-
Ayew, Kodjia and Adomah would rip their back line apart, they must start. If Baker carries on his form, doesn't get caught out and Chester leads like he has done, we'll fucking annihilate them.

Gents, please help me out, I'm here from Australia, anyone know any pubs, North,East, south, West of brum that is showing the match which is predominantly Villa with no slimey Bluenoses liable to go. I don't want to be watching the match at my mates with no atmosphere. Cheers

I'd be reasonably happy with a point tomorrow and 3 points next week if that's what happens. I think we'll win tomorrow though.
-
If we limit the individual errors I can see us beating those lobotomized ****** 2-0.
-
I hate these games and just want it over with, preferably with 3 points. I can't bring myself to hate Blues fans as much as Birmingham United fans, or Liverpool, Arsenal etc. They're the real w##kers. My best mate at school was a Bluenose at a time the gulf in quality between the clubs was cavernous. Fair play to him sticking by them, the poor unfortunate web-toed twat.
-
we need someone to make Robinson lose his cool and get a red card.
Bloody hell, is he still playing?
SHA forum seems to think it will be Rhoys Wiggins at left back....whoever he is.
Generally I'd say my knowledge of football and players in the opposition ranks is above average (though not as good as it was 10-15 years ago).
Yet I look at their line up and I don't have a scooby.
Is that Donaldson fella related to O'Neill Donaldson? Genuinely no idea.

Some of the London Lions are apparently meeting at the Six Yard Box in Elephant & Castle. Sadly I am at a christening so won't be there.

Thanks VillaAways. Much appreciated.
-
They lost last time out and almost always bounce back with a win in the next game. So a home win for sha, say 2-1.
Referee is Mike Dean. Cards:-
Red - a draw at 1 each.
Yellows - a home win. Them 4 Us 3.
-
Mike Dean is an arse. I hope we spank the bastards into oblivion. That is all.

Six Yard Box at Elephant & Castle will be showing it, South London Lions will be there as well so will be a decent atmosphere.

We've been piss poor for years now, but there's zero chance we're losing to this lot. That's just not the way things work.
Still, it'll be nice for the droolers on that lot.com (*waves*) to have a legitimate reason to start 10 threads about us every hour for a change.
-
We carry the city's name but we play in Small Heath which is the same as playing in Aston which we take the piss out of the Vilers for 0-3 Aston Villa
Kodjia to run riot and get two, Gardner to score the other one and go apeshit when he scores. Pandemonium in the away end. Brucie give us a wave. Rowett give us a wave. Yes I'm on the beer already and will be on it bright and early tomorrow aswell. You need a beer before you visit that hovel. Don't let us down Villa. The city is ours.

Beware double chinned 59 yr old men in Stone Island jumpers ...

8am ko . Hoping legends bar will be showing it. Anyone else think jack being suspended is for the best

I am utterly convinced we are going to win 2-1

Any tug in the box from a corner kick and Dean is giving penalties this season.

Won't it be a 7am kick-off in New York? Thought they were 5 hours behind us

We have time change on Sunday to add extra hour ;)

I am pretty confident too, but there is just this gnawing feeling that if you look at our probable line up, there is the possibility of mistakes in quite a few of them. Gollini, Hutton, Baker, Cissokho /Ayew and Bacuna don't exactly inspire confidence. If we defend well and keep a clean sheet, we'll win this as I can definitely see us scoring.
-
They will probably score one and be tight and frustrating. They are not a bad side. It will be down to us being well drilled, patient and fit. I see it 1.2 The city is always ours.
-
Draw. At my work both sides are claiming they're not coming in if they lose, the huge pussies, so i don't fancy working 10 men down if a win or loss happens

Either you've fallen off the kitchen table or walked into the main road while typing into your phone.

I've gone for a draw.
It's only blues and we should beat them, but we generally get dragged down to their level. I don't expect anything different this time, but would love to be surprised.
Genuinely surprised they haven't sold out, if true. There's likely to be more than a few villa fans in home areas if that's the case.
1-1.
-
You just know that if they have 100 unsold tickets and for the return we have 200 at a ground that holds 12,000 more, they'll have a better crowd.
-
sorry - double post.
Just do the job Villa.
-
My pal is in the home end, I wouldn't do it, you are just bound to see someone you know.
-
I think it's cute how excited they are about having a 'crowd' of approx 25K for a home game.
-
Isn't it maxed at 23k ?
-
There'll be a few dozen Villa in the home ends, same as there'll be a few dozen of them in the home ends at VP. Always is for derby games. And pretty much to a man, or woman, they won't say a peep regardless of what the score is. Which is a bit different to the thousands they always claim to have at VP singing away in the home ends, but no one ever sees.
-
Isn't it maxed at 23k ?
For them, plus our 2K.
-
If they can't sell out against us, that's pretty piss poor. We'd fill a whole end if they would be allowed to sell us the tickets.
-
I see.
-

In the 87 game that someone posted the link to, half the crowd was in our bit.
-
There's a weeks diff on clocks moving by an hour (of google and bein sports are conspiring to lie to me)
-
That is correct, the tilton end was heaving and the rest of ground was almost empty. It is quite funny really that such a great supported club like those can't even sell 23,000 tickets for a game they have been waiting for for years
-

Yep, we change in a couple of hours, USA next week.

I remember the sad twats singing "Villa" in that high pitch voice they do every time we play them.
Best Fuckin response ever " There's only 8,000 blues fans , only 8,000 blues fans..."
Their Fuckin average attendance in the league... Twats
-
Their average in 86/87 was 7,427. 2 years later it was 6,265.
-
They are basically just a shite club

Sorry, as you were.

I'll be cheering from the pub sadly. We can do these fuckers.
Betting head says 1-1 claret & blue heart says 3-1 villa. Ayew & Kodjia 2.
#apparently they have 19 people with collection buckets around the ground for "jack" the yoing villa fan who recently passed away. Fair play to them. Credit where it's due.

At Knock Airport for the next six hours, so hoping that their WiFi holds.

Come on you Lions!

Stan is on Sky sports 1 at the moment. He's not happy with RDM and I can't say I blame him. Bit off topic but I think Stan is worth it.
-
Morning, gents.
Did anybody think to wake up Toronto to start the Match thread?
-
Gabby on the bench
-
Gabby on the bench
I read that as on the beach.
-
Gabby on the bench
Ha! Fantastic.
-
4-3-3. Ayew, Adomah and the Codge. So much quality!
-
Westwood in, Bacuna not even on the bench.
-
Massively disappointed Gabby is on the bench.
Having said that, let's go get the fuckers!!
-
I wonder whether Bacuna has took a knock - given his ability to play in different positions, I don't think it'd make sense for him not to be on the bench otherwise.
