2-0 in 1970, the relegation season? Including the "Dave Latchford's a silly get, A 25 yarder's in the net" goal?

Yep. 30th March 1970. I was 18 days old, first game we won after I was born.

I'm afraid I was 15 years old, nearly 16. I do remember both goals clearly. I think it was Easter Monday?

As it was me, and I do so want everyone to know that it was me, that coined, "And all was well with the universe thanks to Gabby Agbonlahor". Can I request that the Villa win option is changed to, "All is well with the universe".

We'll score at least one, their defence looked crap against Burton. They've got Paul Robinson, he scored against us for Albion in 2005 and he was about 30 then!

Was it in the 80s about 84 2-0 to us Gary Thompson cracking header to put us 1-0 up
I wS in the railway end upper loads of villa up there
I was one of thousands trying to get into the Tilton Road End. Got in the ground just before half time. Pandemonium broke out. From memory I think that was Thompsons header. Wasn't that the day someone painted AVFC onto the grass in creosote the night before?

Well what with the closure of the Rover less than 20 years away in the future fans were only rightly concerned about their priorities...

Because it's Blues. Everyone in Birmingham supports them, but they only go if they get to Wembley or take 100,000 to Bruges.

I'm sure that was the time when there was only about two turnstiles open for us to get in. Bloody scary. I can remember feeling like all the air was being sucked out of my body in the crush with police on horses forcing us forward.

I finally got into the ground and rounded on a steward next to those bloody awful open air toilets telling him they needed to tell someone to do something as someone was going to get really hurt. Luckily my mate pulled me off him as I was so irate I would have got nicked, something I'm not very proud of but couldn't help after what I'd just seen.

I still can't believe there were no injuries that day. Such poor policing and non existing stewarding. Every time I see a reference to Hillborough I think of that day.

I can remember the win but that day is tainted by what could have been.

The piss pouring down the terraces was actually at a friendly in 95 under Little to commemorate the opening of the new Kop and Tilton. Absolutely flooding through the ceiling of one of the exits under the upper Railway.

Absolute dog hole of a ground.
