Must be hurting you typing Westwoods name there? He's awful, but with Bacuna now at right back, I'd have him over Gardner, who is even worse. We're very weak in midfield. That team and even the midfield looks ok to me. If we had that Brentford lad Ryan Woods in there instead of Westwood it could really tick. I'm envious of them and angered by the fact when I found out last night that he's a fairly local lad who has been missed by our scouting network.

Quote from: madmoz65 on September 15, 2016, 05:24:58 PMWe've been having every- one back defending since lambert' time and I just don't get why somethings never change. Put someone on the half-way line ffs.Oh agreed on that. A bugbear of mine for years. Grealish and Ayew won't win many headers in our box. They might keep a few out of it who will if they are stood on the halfway line though.

The counterargument I have seen is that the more people defending in the box the more likely it is to stop a goal. Of course however it means sacrificing an attacking outlet. I assume coaches and managers have lots of stats about goals from corners and what the best way to defend them is. Most teams seem to do it nowadays.
