Aston Villa vs Rotherham United Pre-Match Thread
« on: August 10, 2016, 10:55:17 PM »
Less than three days until our next game, you lucky people!

Everyone else has started a match thread, to no avail, so thought I might as well have a go.

This is the first match on the way back, we'll look back on this as the turning point... honest.

Villa 4 (McCormack 12, 26, 65, Ayew 53)
Rotherham 0

It will be. Really. Won't it?  :-[

Need a win desperately to understand its possible. They're a poor side and will probably go down so the opportunity is there and against Huddersfield to breathe life back into the club again.

Any win by any score, just win.

We need a helping hand to win. Perhaps a sending off or a dodgy penalty or two? Can't see us getting a 1-0 with our confidence so low. I thought we might do better away from the nervousness of the villa home crowd but clearly not! I'm going for a nervy and dull draw.

Do we have to??? I'm only just hurting after tonight's debacle!

I'm going to plump for a 3-0 Rotherham victory with Micah Richards having an amusing incident with a stoat being the root cause of the 3rd.

We're still not ready for this season. In fact it looks like we are going backwards.

We will improve but for now - 2-0 to the mighty Rotherham.

think we'll win this too. scappy 1-0, the result being more important than the performance. RDM has learned the hard way about our squad the last two games, and i think if push comes to shove its not going to be him losing his job.

Some players from last season are going to get absolute pelters from the stands if things don't go well from early on.

Hope Gollini has a solid game anyway, needs to put that mistake behind him quickly, was very impressed with him otherwise.

Always a big event when United come to town!

Aston is buzzing as we await the arrival of the Titans from Rotherham.

One things for sure, little old Aston Villa will have to be at their best if they are to face up to these guys.

Let's get behind our boys, we may not be professionals like The Millers but I'm sure the Villa players will want to go back to their day jobs on Monday 15th with a degree of pride for their colleagues in the office, on the bin round or in the staff canteen at Shit R Us.

From what I saw /heard bacuna got some in last match and he had a coy smile at fans.  I'm not too sure where to go with that as how can be react to 1000 of mainly men abusing him.  Yes he was pretty bloody dier last season but this first matcg get behind him if he fails then he get called out.  He was actually had other day but he 'll be a scapegoat and he'll have to go too I imagime. Gardner isn't part of the suicide squad  and give that guy a break. I don't think Richards will be near the team on Saturday he's just downtrodden and hutton I believe it's mystical he's even a trier he's very odd playing abilities and it's insulting and embrassinv so total get that these and bacuna would be basically abuse out of villa quick as !

A Bluenose mate who obviously knows Rotherham well tells me they are a very physical side. Gulp! Being bullied by Rotherham at home sounds a bit shit.

What with our tissue paper mentality that does not bode well at all.

I'm dreading it. We will concede and the inevitable collapse will happen.

I've never supported a team of "players" that I despise so much as this lot.

It all starts well when Gabby and Richards are paraded around the pitch as two halves of a pantomime donkey, before being launched out of Villa Park in a cannon.

Tony Xia announces 3 ace signings, and we win 12-0.

Or back in reality we scab a 2-1 win and start to improve.
