Seen loads of people complaining they haven't been able to get an away ticket so far because they've sold out so quickly. Then we get 5500 for Barnsley and my Twitter feed is full of people giving their references away.

It's hardly a major mystery. People work. Barnsley is Tuesday night.

Annoying that the one time we get a decent ticket allocation it's midweek.

In fairness, Wednesday gave us a decent allocation in the end, now I think of it.

Only 2000 tickets for Small Heath away. Police advice.

Who says that?

Pathetic if true.

Saw earlier that the full allocation we give away fans this season is 2,819 of which 106 are restricted view.

Where is restricted view at Villa? I've probably sat in every stand and, since the pillars came down from the old Trinity, I can't remember every having an impeded vision of the dross on offer.

I'm assuming it's barriers etc, when in certain seats in the UT you have them blocking part of the pitch.

We'd have had to pay extra for those seats last season.

You'd hope they would have thought about this before building the new stand.

It was on Twitter, from the away ticket consultation group apparently. Small Heath will also only get 2000 tickets when they come to us.

People on Twitter saying the ticket office have said we've now sold over 4500 for Barnsley. We'd only sold just over 2000 yesterday meaning we've sold 2500 today? Struggle to believe that.

It's gone down to a 5 or 3 aways hasn't it? I was hoping to buy a spare third ticket to build my boys away card for when he comes in a year or two.

It's come from the Yorkshire Lions club about Barnsley. If they've sold 4400 now then they'll be gone before general sale. That end holds 7k so they may be able to ask for more unless it's restricted to 5500 because of their SAG.

I'm going and am really hoping we do. A treat for my hard working teenage son, I have to drive. :(

We have 5k for Preston the following Saturday.

Think we'll shift about 4k for that, it's not that far from Brum on the train. I'm certainly up for that one, Deepdale is a nice stadium and we haven't played up there for ages. Good price aswell.
