Details from our away ticket meeting

BRISTOL CITY 2500 £30
IPSWICH 2045 £32.50
BARNSLEY 5700 £20
PRESTON 5500 £24
READING 4000 £20

There'll be more of us than home fans at Barnsley given that allocation!

Barnsley is a Tuesday night. The only way we'll take 5700 is if we're winning the league or at least near the top.

Sod's Law that the easiest one to get tickets for is a midweek. A ground I've not been too, as well.

Good on Barnsley, Preston and Reading.

As an away scheme member even £30 and £32.50 doesn't seem too bad after years of Chelsea charging £55.

That's why I'll be missing Preston as well.

Don't fancy a jaunt that far up the M6 and back in one day and then up to London for an early NFL game

I miss Fulham at home instead, at NFL a little bit later.

Was anything said about the tickets not going on sale until closer to the games ?

Any idea when Brizzle City will be on sale ?

Fulham is on the Saturday at the moment so, unless the Villa game is moved, I'm planning to do both

Makes us look more than a little silly to be put up as the front of this particular campaign/whinge when we've just sold out a 4,500 allocation.

Not entirely surprising to see MOMS are behind it...

I know we've paid it, but it doesn't make it right.  There should be an ongoing protest across all 72 football league clubs until a cap is placed on away ticket prices.  Bloody hell if the money-mad Prem can do it, surely the 'lesser lights' can?

Quote
A statement from Sheffield Wednesday said pricing for their season opening game was dictated by demand and calibre of opposition, with Villa playing in the second tier for the first time since 1987-88.

"Sheffield Wednesday have in place a flexible ticketing structure that we implemented last season, whereby each fixture is categorised and priced respectively," the club said.

"This strategy worked very successfully amongst our fan base in 2015-16, borne out by a significantly increased average attendance at Hillsborough, and as such will be extended into the new season.

Yeah it was a real success. That significant increase in average attendances they claim, was 708 as they had their best season since being relegated in 2000.

So far everything is wrong with the league always. Wendy daft prices and late going on sale, Derby late kick off with only trains back to the nw as well as tickets net cost £38.  Bristol 3 weeks to game and no sign of tickets on sale. Not only is the division a lower standard in playing ability but a lesser class of clubs generally
