I think it's very fair, especially as apart from one youtube video i've never seen him play. I like to be fair and balanced with my expectations.

In all seriousness though, I am really looking forward to seeing him play though. Been a long time since we signed someone that I felt this excited about.

We need to be patient and not go overboard and expect too much, but he is better than Messi.
Messi is no yard stick as he has never won the World Cup🙊

If Pele, Maradona and Messi had a baby, it would be Adama. He is the Slayer of Cylons, Saviour of Aston Villa, Destroyer of Defenders, Lord of the Universe.

I wouldn't play him at Palace. They have Barcelona style colours so he'll end up thinking he's playing for them.

He'd think the Nou Camp had been subject to a monumental terrorist atrocity.
Not sure if you have seen the Nou Camp but from outside it looks like an awful council estate.

I thought it already looked like that.

Damn, I've been found out, having been to Selhurst Park but never Camp Nou. First time to South London was for a League cup tie. It took longer than expected. We missed Dalian putting us ahead inside ten minutes but were treated to the four Palace scored in reply. Great.

I only saw highlights and of course he was playing against reserves so I don't want to over react BUT............... bloody hell he looked amazing. Skill full, intelligent , strong and with acceleration that is stunning.

I cannot wait to see him play for us I think he is class. He and Amavi look genuinely like top , top players already and they are so young.

Reading that I thought I'd better catch up with the avtv highlights and I can confirm you are not exaggerating! Just as pleasing was to see the way the three amigos (jack carles and adama) linked up, always on the same wavelength. Not sure we could afford to see all 3 in the same team in the premier league but would be fantastic to see

What's his beef with pre independent Sri Lankans?!

Yeah when they linked up it was beautiful! Gil & Grealish in particular just seemed to know each other. I would love to see the three of them play together like that, just lovely!

They could in theory, in a 4231.  Grealish naturally seems to drift left and Adama is right sided.  Gil presumably could slot into the central position.  I'm not sure we have natural players for the deeper two midfielders, maybe Sanchez and Gueye?

Yeah that'd work, in fact I'm gonna stick my neck out and say thats how we'll set up against Notts in a week or two

What formation we play last night and what positions did the 3 amigos take up?

I think 4231 will be the only way to accommodate and get the most out of our attacking players, but I doubt we could afford the luxury of playing all 3. Defensive pairing would have to be Gueye + one of Westwood, Sanchez and Veretout...if we're playing a high tempo attacking game then at least we have options on the bench to bring on.
