My abiding memory of the fat, bone headed imbecile was that night at Wycombe when he started rucking face to face with travelling fans in defence of our subs on the bench on the touchline playing spit the chewing gum game.  Closely followed by the game at Forest when he refused to play in the position Tactics Tim had told him to play and spent the game perfecting his spaniel chasing a balloon schtick.  Useless waste of space shoehorned into punditry by Political Correctness while far better summarizers like Lee Hendrie feed on media scraps.

Lee is quite good on co-commentary and in the studio. Richards is probably the worst.

Lee has grown-up a fair bit. Would like Mr Woodhall to ghost-write his autobiography for a princely sum.

He has just been on 5 Live saying that he had a key role in the Villa squad after being injured passing on his experience to the youngsters...hmmm.

Not a chance. Messing with their heads more like it.

By helping the Youngsters he must mean the  6 year olds I reckon with his stint as Santa.

I still don't understand why we did not sell Richards when we had the chance (although there were so many things wrong with our club for quite a few seasons leading to our relegation and our stay in the Championship)

Could we maybe move this pish to Villa Memories please? Never has a player had as ridiculous a replies to contribution ratio on here. And, yes, I acknowledge that I've just contributed to it.

Whenever he laughs on tv now (roughly 33% of his output), those Bad Santa flashbacks are strong. For that reason, I'm out.

Well, if he’s continually on a mission to rewrite history then it does need to be called out.

A total and utter prick.  Shame there isn’t a way that the club can legally prevent him from mentioning the Villa

Heartbreaking stuff, maybe if we've clinched a CL spot we could bring him on for a brief cameo against Citeh last game of the season. Sure to get a rapturous response from both sets of fans.

Maybe he's telling the truth.

Just putting it out there.
