He's obviously crocked. you don't go over a year not playing in a side where gabby can get a game. He'd be on loan at least. there's some major fuck up here, that no-one at the club wants to admit to. i.e. we signed a player with a pre-existing problem diagnosed at his medical and we can't pay him off because the insurance won't cover it.

If you didn't know better, you would think it was a financial scam.
Like spending £10 mil + on Hogan.

Who signed him as a matter of interest?
If Richards had a pre-defined medical problem (which does seem likely now) somebody other than the manager must have given the okay for it!

Me too.

There again I also thought Darren Byfield would be a worldbeater, that Danny Cadamarteri would have a better career than Michael Owen and that Stephen Ireland was a clever piece of business so I don't have the greatest track record in judging players.

My God - that is appalling. Don't you have any examples of where you got it right - just for redemption sake?

:) :)

There were also concerns around the time he signed weren't there?  If I recall correctly, he hadn't played that much in Italy or during the couple of seasons before that because of injuries.  I remember seeing him at a pre season friendly at Walsall just after he had signed and he was literally head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch, but he has been an absolutely disastrous signing.  To then think that there have been a fair few signings that have been just as bad or even worse says it all about how the club has been ran.

Danny Cadamarteri
My god is he another one who made a big deal young and then decided not to play football again and retire?

Actually just checked - has had more clubs than Tiger Woods

He always believed in Freddie Rincon and it paid off in the end.

I thought he did as well, up until Sherwood left anyway.

The so called 'good games' from memory were based on people praising him for bursting out of defence with the ball and charging up the pitch

He then lost the ball of course and left us all at sea at the back (ala Hutton) but that didn't seem to bother some folks

He's a fraud
