From BBC:

Tim Sherwood has just said:" Some of the boys have been told they will not be here next year and they can go and find other clubs."

The only positive from today then.
I wonder when he told them? During prematch team talk?

That was worth the 7000 mile round trip.

Heh, I feel bad for you! I nearly pulled the trigger myself but family / work commitments kind of got in the way. I am pretty happy they did right about now.

And a big piece of that is the manager. Lambert accepted mediocrity and failure. I'm hoping Sherwood buys players be it with Lerner's money or a new bloke that never do.
For however long he is manager, do you envisage Sherwood signing a player as good as Benteke?

Or as poor as Sanchez??
[/quot

You really think Sanchez was his worst buy, I don't believe that

No there have possibly been worse but he sprang to mind .....he is clueless, miles off the pace, rash challenges, awful passing, for an alleged DM that's not a great repatoire....

There are a lot of unanswered questions about the Villa but at least they are still in the Premiership and quite frankly despite todays disappointment that is at least something we can be happy about.

I think you're right, but then again, we've just finished 17th.

We have done as badly as it is possible to do in the premier league without getting relegated. We have dropped as far as it is possible to drop without finding ourselves poking around the championship with the likes of Small Heath and Wolves.

It quite literally can not get any worse and not involve going down.

That's pitiful. Sherwood is right, there is a culture of accepting losing and mediocrity at the club, it absolutely stinks of it, and it needs to go

Sadly, it starts at the top with the chairman who combines not having a clue with not giving too much of a shit, and permeates right through the club.

Losing a cup final isn't the end of the world. I don't mind losing to a side clearly much better than us. What I do mind is doing it so utterly spinelessly.

We didn't manage a shot on target. Arsenal absolutely crushed us, and did so whilst barely venturing out of second gear.

Even then, though, it is not that which we should really be worried about, it is the return in recent weeks of the pathetic Lambertness of the side. Stuff like losing at home to a relegated bunch of no hopers. Getting beaten 6-1 by Southampton (and, like today, had the opposition had four more goals, it wouldn't have flattered them).

It was embarassing today. Deep down most of us probably thought we'd lose, but I doubt many of us thought we'd get as thoroughly humiliated as we did.

Outclassed.

Only highlight, blagged our way into yellow car park (ticket was for red) and again got away swift after the game having stayed til the bitter end.

I'm still massively pissed off. Hopefully the club can be sold to someone who isn't a fuckwit and some of the garbage can be replaced by decent players.

Top of the list to fuck off: Charles N'Zogbia. Literally didn't know he was playing until I saw someone try and run down a blind alley with his head down against ten Arsenal players before immediately giving them the ball back. Before I saw his face I knew it must have been him.

The only positive I can take from today is I didn't waste hundreds of pounds on watching it. In fact I'm fucking delighted about that part. I feel for every Villa fan that went, more so for those that paid over the odds, and especially for those ripped off by c***s. In the end, we were all ripped off. We have been for years.

And we have a winner for post of the century.

I feel the same. I was offered a ticket for £300 and i thought about it. I'm so glad i kept hold of that money.

Well that was piss poor. Talking to most Arsenal fans they were amazed at how useless we were.
